Dave B’s Fantasy 5 TE Rankings – DFS
Week 4 of the Fantasy Football season kicks off with an intriguing AFC North encounter between the Ravens and the Steelers. Needless to say, it isn’t too early to start thinking about which Tight Ends will be a lock to help your Fantasy squad. There’s no Rob Gronkowski this week so there is a new #1 – expect Gronk to return to the #1 spot next week.

With the Tight End position fluctuating from week-to-week we have to keep tabs on who will pay us off on Sunday. With that in mind here are the Top 5 Tight End plays for Week 4.
1. Travis Kelce, Chiefs
vs. Cincinnati Bengals
The passing game actually woke up for the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night and Kelce has been the most consistent, most targeted guy on the team. He enters off a 6 catch, 80 yards effort against Denver with little reason to think a drop-off is imminent.

Kelce is simply Alex Smith’s #1 option. The Chiefs will likely find themselves in a dogfight again this week which means that Kelce will HAVE to be a big part of the offense. I am expecting 90-100 yards receiving with a TD making him the #1 Tight End play this week.
2. Greg Olsen, Panthers
vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Olsen had been fairly quiet before exploding for 134 yards and 2 TDs last week. The fact is that Olsen is Cam Newton’s best receiving option – by a mile. The Panthers get the Buccaneers soft defense this week – Cam should be able to operate with impunity with Olsen being the main beneficiary. 90-100 yards and a TD make Olsen more like a 1B this week rather than a #2 play.

He is back into elite Tight End territory again and should reward his owners Sunday.
3. Jimmy Graham, Seahawks
vs. Detroit Lions
That’s more like it! Graham caught seven balls for 83 yards and a TD on Sunday in Seattle’s first win of the season – Graham could be the formula for a successful run for the Hawks. He gets a crack at a disappointing Detroit offense this week – at home where he should have some success. Graham is still the second most gifted Tight End in the game – the only thing missing was some attention from Russell Wilson. I like Graham to duplicate his numbers from last week – 7 catches for 80 yards and a TD has him in the top 5 again this week.
4. Jordan Reed, Redskins
vs. Philadelphia Eagles
A healthy Jordan Reed is a dangerous one – period! He has 19 grabs on the year for 241 yards and a TD and is the most targeted pass catcher on the Redskins so far. Kirk Cousins trusts him – a good sign when heading into a game against an Eagles team that has been generous to say the least against opposing offenses this year. The Skins WILL score some points on Sunday and my bet it is Reed that does the damage. Expect seven catches for 75 yards and a TD Sunday.
5. Charles Clay, Bills
vs. New York Giants
Ready for a little sleeper action? How about Charles Clay who has led the Bills in receiving the last two weeks.

It’s true. This week he faces a Giants defense that hasn’t been great against Tight Ends so far this year. With LeSean McCoy likely sitting out this week Tyrod Taylor will likely be looking to throw the ball – Clay should he his share of looks. 6 catches for 70 yards and a TD certainly isn’t a stretch this week for the most shocking of the Top 5 Tight End options this week.
