Dave B’s Fantasy 5 WR Rankings – DFS
Week 1 of the Fantasy Football season produced some huge numbers for some Stud Wide Receivers. Julio Jones was huge while Calvin Johnson and Odell Beckham disappointed.
Will there be another James Jones or Keenan Allen in the woodwork in Week 2 or will all return to normalcy in the world of Fantasy Wide Receivers?

Let’s take a look at the top 5 Fantasy WR plays for Week 2.
1. Julio Jones – Atlanta Falcons
vs. NY Giants
Not much of a doubt about the top WR play in Week 2 – Julio Jones off a monster 9 catch 141 yard, 2TD performance should be in line for another huge week against a very burnable Giants secondary.
Matt Ryan will look Julio’s way early and often and the weekly mismatch with this guy makes Jones absolutely automatic.
He caught 11 balls for 105 yards in the last meeting between the teams- anything less than that would be a colossal disappointment.
2. Antonio Brown – Pittsburgh Steelers
vs. SF 49ers
Even when teams know that Brown is going to get the rock, they can’t stop him as witnessed by Bill Belichick’s inability to hold Brown down last week. He caught 9 passes for 133 yards in the game.
There is zero reason to think Brown won’t be a huge cog again this week as he goes against a 49ers secondary with a ton of question marks. Brown is an every-week start and a reliable top 3 WR every time he takes the field. Gotta love this guy!
3. Odell Beckham – NY Giants
vs. Atlanta Falcons
Beckham wasn’t much of a factor last week but that should change. For the G-Men to be successful they have to feature this guy – period. Beckham goes up against a Falcons defense that allowed chunks of yards to the Eagles in Week 1 – particularly Jordan Matthews.
I expect Beckham to eclipse the numbers posted by Matthews and to finish top 5 among WRs in Week 2. 8 catches for a 110 yards and a TD, maybe two is where I see Beckham ending up this week.
4. Demaryius Thomas – Denver Broncos
vs. KC Chiefs
Some are jumping off the Denver bandwagon already – citing Peyton Manning’s lack of arm strength as the cause. I am not one that is pushing the panic button yet. Thomas still led the Broncos in receiving and looks last week en route to 7 catches and 60 yards.
Things will correct themselves for Denver sooner than later and Thomas will be the main beneficiary. Eight catches, 100 yards and a TD is a reasonable expectation this week.
5. AJ Green – Cincinnati Bengals
vs. San Diego Chargers
Green caught six balls for 63 yards and zero TDs in Week 1 and fell victim to some other pass catchers showing up (Tyler Eifert), and to a score sheet that saw the Bengals jump out to an early lead.
The added attention that Eifert will get this week helps Green for sure and the fact that the running game is still dangerous also works in his favor. Green is due for a huge bust-out game – against a vulnerable Chargers secondary I think he gets it.
Other Sneaky Good Starts: DeAndre Hopkins – Houston Texans, Stevie Johnson – San Diego Chargers
