The Fantasy Football Regular Season has either come to an end or is entering its final week – it’s time to start thinking about which Running Backs will take you to the Title. Although the Running Back position has been decimated this year by injury there are still some sure-fire quality matchups that should be able to take you over the top in your Fantasy league.

Which Running Backs are in the best position to do just that? Let’s take a peek at the top 5 Fantasy Running Back plays for Week 13 of the NFL season.
1. Adrian Peterson, Vikings
Ya, ya I know – the Vikings are playing the Seahawks this week. But any guy that is getting 30 touches per game is going to produce – period! AP has 187 yards and 2 TDs last week in Atlanta and looks like a man amongst boys right now. Peterson leads the league in rushing and will get his chances once again at home to shine.

On volume alone (not to mention insane talent) I like Peterson to crack the 100 yard mark and score on the ground as well as catching his customary 2-4 passes for 30 yards. AP looks like the safest option in Fantasy right now – a total pleasure to watch!
2. Devonta Freeman, Falcons
The Falcons get Freeman back from injury this week – his replacement Tevin Coleman went for 110 yards on 18 carries last week proving how good a run blocking team the Falcons are! Freeman has been a beast all year long and maybe needed that one week’s rest. He has 88 yards rushing and 43 yards on six catches the first time the Falcons and Bucs met this season – I like him to eclipse that this week in a crucial game for Atlanta. 100 yards rushing to go along with 6-8 catches for 50-70 yards and a TD is where I see Freeman this week – good enough for #2 on my list!

3. Doug Martin, Buccaneers
OK I’m officially on the Doug Martin bandwagon. This week he and the Bucs take on a struggling Atlanta defense. Martin has been great lately and is just two weeks removed from a 235 yard effort against the Eagles – as HOT as any back in the game right now. He went for just 71 yards on 23 attempts in Tampa’s first meeting with Atlanta but he is a different guy right now. I like Martin to be near the 100 yard mark Sunday with a TD to go along with 2-4 catches for about 20 yards as well. Ride him while he’s Hot folks – ride him while he’s Hot!
4. DeAngelo Williams, Steelers
Wasn’t a big part of the offense last week in Seattle but should be more involved this week against the Colts. One area where Williams shone against Seattle was in the passing game where he gained a terrific 88 yards on 7 catches. I think that trend continues this week and that he approached 50 yards receiving again – mostly on screen passes. He should also handle the rock 15-20 times out of the backfield for 80-100 yards and a TD as the Steelers control this game from the outset.
5. Jonathan Stewart, Panthers
The Panthers should roll in this game – no reason not to give Jonathan Stewart a huge workload. After all, he has handled the ball 20+ times in three straight games.

He is not getting pushed by any other running back on the Carolina roster right now – Stewart is the only game in town. Although he went for just 52 yards on 14 carries the first meeting of the season I like Stewart to rip apart the Saints this week -100 yards and a TD to go along with 1-2 catches for 10-20 yards seems about right in a game that the Panthers should dominate.
