With that said here are your Top 5 Running Back options for what promises to be yet another scintillating week 11 of NFL football.
1.Devonta Freeman, Falcons
Freeman and the Falcons return from their bye this week, hopefully refreshed after struggling their last few games. Freeman has gone from absolute Stud to solid performer the last month or so – hopes are that the rest has done him some good.

My guess is that it has and that we’ll see the Freeman that scored 10 time in the first five games, not the one that tallied just once in his last three. Look for Freeman to be a focal point of Atlanta’s offense once again against a weakish Indianapolis defense. 80-100 yards on the ground with a TD is a minimum expectation this week to go along with 6 or so catches for 50 yards and a TD through the air. 150 total yards and 2 TDs makes Freeman the #1 option this week.
2.Adrian Peterson, Vikings
Peterson just keeps chugging along – last week was 200+ yards against the Raiders. He has gone over 100 yards 5 times so far this year and he has hit pay dirt in the last two. AP is the unquestioned focal point of this offense – he will get 25 touches and will be effective with those touches once again.

He gets a reeling Green Bay defense this week – expect another 110-120 yards and a TD on the ground to go along with his typical 1-2 catches for 20-30 yards.
3.Todd Gurley, Rams
Like Peterson, Gurley will get his touches guaranteed. This week it will come against a decent Baltimore run defense at home. He has been around the 110 yard mark every week except for last when he went for just 99 against the Bears. He is always active in the passing game as well. I’m expecting right around Gurley’s average – 110 yards and a TD on the ground this week to go along with 4-6 catches and another 25-40 yards through the air. Gotta love Gurley!
4. Marshawn Lynch, Seahawks
Here’s hoping that Lynch is over his abdominal injury and that he can dominate the 49ers again. He went for 122 yards on 27 rushes in the first meeting this season. Lynch is always better at home than on the road and in a game that the Seahawks absolutely have to have my guess is that Russell Wilson leans on him early and often. Lynch is a handful when healthy – my guess is that he resembles more of the Beast Mode we have come to love/hate and that he approaches 125 yards on the ground with a TD.
5.Charcandrick West, Chiefs
It’s time to call Charcandrick West and every-week starter. He has averaged 120 total yards in each of the last three games and has scored in each. He has proven to be a valuable fill-in for Jamaal Charles. West looked terrific against Denver’s top ranked defense last week – 69 rushing yards and 92 receiving yards with a TD – he now has the unwavering trust of his coaches.

I like him to hit 100 yards on the ground again this week with a TD and for him to catch 4-6 passes for another 40-50 yards. West has been superb – easily a top 5 option this week.
