The Golden State Warriors hold the third-best odds to win the 2016 NBA championship after free agency has finally calmed down. But in the eyes of many, the Dubs will remain favorites until knocked off — especially with virtually every major piece of the puzzle returning next season.
The Warriors survived a furious 4th quarter comeback to get a victory at Indiana last night. Beating the Pacers on the road is quite the feat and a tremendous bounceback for a team that outplayed by the Toronto Raptors the game before.
With three days rest, the Utah Jazz will host the Golden State Warriors on Friday night, looking to close out a four-game home stand with their third consecutive win.
Two teams that have not gotten along very well when they’ve met previously this season will tangle again on Thursday in Oakland, when the Clippers take on the Warriors at Oracle Arena.
San Antonio got back to winning last night against Phoenix after a debacle at the Clippers to start the week. Knowing they had a back to back they did it in impressive fashion by not overextending their starters and without PG Tony Parker who has a shin thing and is not expected to play in this one either.

The Magic come into this Southeast Division clash with a six-game losing streak that has dropped them to just 6-15 straight-up on the year.
They have gone 2-3-1 against the spread during this current slide.
This will be the final stop in a brutal six-game road trip so you have to believe that Orlando has already turned its attention to Friday night’s home game against Cleveland.
Charlotte has won its last two games to pull within one victory of reaching the .500 mark at 10-11 SU. It has covered the spread in its last five games to improve to 13-7-1 ATS on the year.
The Bobcats have covered in their last three home games and in this matchup they have won four of the last six meetings SU.
They will not blow a golden opportunity to take full advantage of the road weary Magic on Wednesday night with a win at home that covers the spread.

Dallas is coming off an ugly 112-97 loss to Sacramento on the road this past Monday night as a 4.5-point favorite. It is now 4-5 SU in its last nine games and a costly 2-6 ATS in its last eight outings.
The Mavericks are 13-9 SU on the year with a 10-11-1 record ATS.
They are 4-7 SU on the road this season and this will be their third road game in five nights before returning home for three straight games starting this upcoming Saturday night.
The Warriors lost to Dallas 103-99 on Nov. 27 as 4.5-point road underdogs, but they are in excellent position to avenge that defeat come Wednesday night.
Golden State is 12-10 SU overall with a healthy 6-2 SU record at home. It returns home from a three-game road trip and coming off a 115-111 loss to Charlotte as a six-point road favorite this past Monday.
While both of these teams’ current form leaves much to be desired, the home court edge looms big in this matchup.
Look for the Warriors to right the ship on Wednesday night by covering the spread to secure the back-end of this week’s NBA Wednesday Parlay.
For me Dallas is one of the most surprising teams in the NBA so far this season. Before the season started I thought they would be pretty awful but they are right there in the middle of the Western Conference.
The Toronto Raptors will make the trip out to ORACLE Arena on Tuesday for a date with the Golden State Warriors. Golden State is clinging on to the bottom of the Western Conference standings at 10-8, while Toronto is atop a weak Atlantic Division despite a sub-.500 record.
The Warriors continue to struggle on the road as they lost at Dallas in the second game of their current road trip. It was also the second game of a back to back but this is a young team and it is early in the season so that shouldn’t matter all that much.
Memphis is on their best run of the season right now. They have won three in row, all on the road, capped by an impressive win over the Los Angeles Clippers Monday night.

The Los Angeles Lakers answered the question of whether they could win without Kobe Bryant on Tuesday, beating cross-town rival Los Angeles Clippers in the season opener.
The UNLV Rebels and the Hawaii Warriors are set to face off Saturday night, and while last year’s contest was one-sided in favor of Hawaii, the script might be flipped in 2013. The Warriors are 0-5 up to this point in the season. UNLV, on the other hand, has won its last three games despite losing its first two.
Golden State has been floundering as a franchise for a while. Last year was disappointing especially down the stretch as they got nothing out of their trade of top scorer Monta Ellis.
USC heads into the season as the odds on favorite to win the BCS title and it not hard to see why with the great offense they have led by Heisman favorite QB Matt Barkley.
