Rocketman’s Weekly NFL Football Analysis

NFL Week 5: What We Learned

Rocketman
Rocketman

Oakland, St. Louis, and Tampa Bay can’t cover any number:

The Oakland Raiders were 15.5 point road underdogs against the New York Giants this past Sunday and got beaten to a bloody pulp, losing 44-7. Their offense is just plain awful. They are averaging 9.8 points per game and only 191.6 yards of total offense. JaMarcus Russell, the former number one overall pick, is a total bust as he thrown only 1 touchdown pass in the first five games. Defensively, the Raiders aren’t much better, giving up 26 points per game.

Rams vs. Eagles Predictions For Week 1 Wagers

NFL Week One Wagering Action – St. Louis Rams at Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles, (8-8 SU, 8-8 ATS, 7-9 O/U) may have struggled to reach .500 in 2007 while hitting the .500 mark right on the nose with their so-so, 8-8 straight up record in the BetUS Sportsbook last season, but Philadelphia’s struggles were nothing like those of their NFC counterpart, the St. Louis Rams, (3-13 SU, 5-11 ATS, 7-9 O/U) who recorded a pathetic 3-13 record under head coach Scott Linehan last season.

Rams Lose DB For The Year

Rams DB (Cornerback) Out For Season

The St. Louis Rams have lost rookie cornerback Justin King for the season with a torn ligament in his left big toe.

Last year for Penn State King deflected 21 passes and intercepted three others on his way to earning first-team All-Big Ten Conference honors and this year in Rams camp “He was playing good,” Rams head coach Scott Linehan said.

King suffered the injury in the first quarter of the Rams’ 34-13 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Saturday. The 21-year-old was the Rams’ fourth-round selection in the 2008 NFL Draft.
