For the second year in a row the Rangers lineup was poached by their division foe Anaheim Angels. Last year it was CJ Wilson and this year it was Josh Hamilton.
The Rangers did not have a very good off-season, as they lost out on signing prized free agent Prince Fielder and they lost starting pitcher C.J. Wilson to the rival L.A. Angels. The Rangers will have, pretty much, the same team as they did last season, but that is not a bad thing since they came within 1 out of winning the World Series.
The New York Rangers want to believe they’ve drastically improved entering the 2011-12 season. Already a gritty, defensively sound team, they knew they needed offensive help, so they went out and bagged the top free agent available: Brad Richards.
