After a hiatus, the daily news beat is back and there’s plenty to discuss. As the Final Four weekend begins, it’s fitting that college hoops have grabbed the most significant sports headlines over the last 24 hours.
Hard to believe, as many of us watch the snow fall outside, that the Boys of Summer are almost back. But it’s true; teams have reported to 2010 Major League Baseball training camps and it’s time to start our team-by-team baseball gambling previews for the year.
The Philadelphia Phillies (100-71 SU, 88-81 RL, 77-84-8 O/U) and New York Yankees (110-61 SU, 95-76 RL, 79-83-9 O/U) will square off in Game 1 of the 2009 World Series tonight at 7:45 PM ET with both ballclubs looking to get off to a solid start behind their respective staff aces.
Phillies’ Howard Having Blast In Hometown State, Cards Look To Snap Skid
The St. Louis Cardinals (17-9 SU, 15-11 RL, 13-11-2 O/U) will be looking to snap their modest two-game losing streak for BetUS MLB sports betting backers when they host the Philadelphia Phillies (13-10 SU, 9-14 RL, 13-8-2 O/U) at Busch Stadium tonight at 8 PM ET.

I’m not impressed! Not with the Philadelphia Phillies (96-71 SU, 78-89 RL, 73-88-6 O/U) Game 1 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers (87-79 SU, 84-82 RL, 75-85-6 O/U).
I’m actually not that impressed with my Game 1 selection that I predicted on Thursday as a blind man could have called Philadelphia’s Game 1 win with crafty lefty Cole Hamels on the mound.
