Points were plentiful again this week as seven games went over the total, five games stayed under while one game; San Diego @ Kansas City was a push at 44. Two games; Indy @ St.Louis and Philly @ Washington went over on meaningless touchdowns late in the 4th quarter and one game almost doubled the total line as New Orleans and Miami put up 80 points between them.

With the Denver-San Diego game going over on Monday night there was a perfect balance in the totals betting with seven games staying under and seven games going over. The next had to be the Saints pinning 48 points on the Giants’ #1 defense in a game where the total was 48.
NFL analysts, sports bettors and fans saw an excess of ATS upsets in Week 6. The Oakland Raiders, Houston Texans and Buffalo Bills all rose up to cover the spread in their respective contests with outright wins. Even the St. Louis Rams covered their money line in a fine, losing effort.

Mark Sanchez was kicked in the mouth this past Sunday when he and the rest of the New York Jets ran into a defensive buzz saw down in the N’Awlins. It wasn’t Drew Brees, Marques Colston and Reggie Bush who lit up the Jets. It was the Saints defense that accounted for 14 points, a returned interception for a TD and a fumble recovery in the end Zone, and caused Sanchez to throw 3 interceptions and fumble the ball once.

Two of the bottom rung teams in the league, Cleveland and Buffalo, take each other on in a game that could go a long way in deciding the future of not only each team but of their respective coaches.

A marquee matchup in college football is set for Saturday evening when the No. 1 Florida Gators head to Baton Rouge to play the No. 4 LSU Tigers. Online sportsbooks have the nation’s consensus top team favored by 7.5-points with a Total of 46.
The San Francisco 49ers have been one of the quietest 3-1 teams in the NFL this season. As is the norm, West Coast teams just don’t get the attention they deserve.

If you haven’t heard, the Browns traded wideout Braylon Edwards to the Jets for receiver Chansi Stuckey, linebacker Jason Trusnik and two draft picks. This is big news because there is hardly ever a trade of a marquee player during the season.
The other big news of the day was that receiver Michael Crabtree finally signed with the 49ers.
The points were flying around this week as even Cleveland scored 20. Nine games went over the total while five stayed under. It wasn’t all about offense as a number of points were scored on turnovers and special teams.
