NBA: CELTICS SOLID CHALK OVER HORNETS

There’s a great NBA game in Boston tonight as the Celtics do battle with one of the Western Conference powers, the New Orleans Hornets.

Sportsbook.com lists Boston as a seven-point favorite, with a Total of 189. ESPN will have this as opening game of its Friday night twin-bill starting at 8 pm ET.

Thursday TNT NBA Doubleheader Preview

NBA: WIZARDS ROBBING CELTICS’ CASH

The Washington Wizards performed magic acts against the Boston Celtics, robbing the cash from their backers the last three times they met.

Underdogs in all three matchups, the Wizards not only cashed in against the spread (ATS) but won each of those three games straight-up as well. More impressive, those victories account for just three of the 16 losses Boston had all of last season.

NBA Betting – Cavs. vs. Sixers (Dec. 10)

NBA Wagering Cavaliers @ Sixers

The Cleveland Cavaliers (18-3 SU, 17-4 ATS, 10-11 O/U) have won and covered the spread for BetUS NBA online betting backers in a whopping, nine straight games. Over a quarter of the way into the 2008-09 campaign and the Philadelphia 76ers (9-12 SU, 8-12 ATS, 6-12-2 O/U) are still struggling to find their new identity after acquiring perennial all-star forward Elton Brand in the offseason.

NBA Betting – Knicks vs. Nets (Dec. 10)

Harris, Surprising Nets, Host High Scoring Knicks

The New Jersey Nets (11-8 SU, 12-7 ATS, 9-10 O/U) and blossoming point guard Devin Harris are arguably the biggest surprises of the young 2008-09 NBA sports betting season so far. The New York Knicks (9-12 SU, 11-10 ATS, 9-12 O/U) are one of the highest scoring teams in the league are struggling to stop opponents from scoring at will.

NBA Betting – Raptors vs. Cavaliers (Dec. 9)

NBA Sports Betting – Red Hot Cavaliers Host Reeling Raptors

The Toronto Raptors (8-11 SU, 7-11 ATS, 11-7 O/U) are mired in the midst of a four-game losing streak in the BetUS Sportsbook, failing to cover the spread for BetUS NBA sports betting backers in each contest. The Cleveland Cavaliers (17-3 SU, 16-4 ATS, 9-11 O/U) are on fire, having won eight consecutive games while covering the NBA spread in every single victory.

NBA Betting – Heat vs. Bobcats (Dec. 8)

Streaking Heat Host Reeling Bobcats

The Charlotte Bobcats (7-13 SU, 11-9 ATS, 6-13-1 O/U) were emphatically beaten the last time out, failing to cover the spread for NBA online betting backers in the process. The Miami Heat (11-9 SU, 8-11-1 ATS, 11-9 O/U) are riding a season-high, three-game winning streak, but have failed to cover the spread for backers in two of their last three.

Charlotte Bobcats vs. Milwaukee Bucks
Jimmy Boyd

Charlotte is just 1-4 on the road this season and after back-to-back wins for the first time all year, I’m expecting a letdown on the road tonight. Milwaukee has dominated this series, winning 12 of the last 15 overall and 6 of the last 7 at home.

Toronto Raptors vs. Utah Jazz

Injuries are a big concern for the linesmakers here but that is all on the Utah side and that is the reason for the delayed line coming out. Toronto is coming off a rout in Denver and not on the right side. It was bad enough to get head coach Sam Mitchell fired despite winning the NBA Coach of the Year award just two seasons ago.

NBA Picks – Rejuvenated Mavericks Host Reeling Suns

The days of the Phoenix Suns (11-8 SU, 8-11 ATS, 11-8 O/U) running their opponents into the ground are apparently over, BetUS NBA sports betting fanatics. The Suns have dropped three straight games in the BetUS Sportsbook and will be looking to get back in the win column in the worst way when they battle the Dallas Mavericks (9-8 SU, 8-9 ATS, 8-9 O/U) at American Airlines Center tonight.

NBA Rookie of the Year Handicapping Tips

NBA Rookie of the Year Watch

1. Derrick Rose – Chicago Bulls

If you haven’t seen Rose shatter Andre Miller’s kneecaps with a cross-over on YouTube, then you’re haven’t seen the highlight of the year in the NBA. The former Memphis point-guard is averaging 18.7 points per game with 5.8 assists. Imagining what he might be able to do with more talent is almost scary. And by “scary” I mean “totally freaking awesome”.

NBA Betting – Pistons vs. Spurs

NBA Betting Trends – Rejuvenated Spurs Host Struggling Pistons

I told BetUS NBA Sports betting enthusiasts that the Detroit Pistons (10-6 SU, 8-8 ATS, 8-8 O/U) made a big mistake by trading point guard Chauncey Billups for veteran shooting guard Allen Iverson.
Now, just 6-6 since acquiring the enigmatic Iverson, the Pistons will host the San Antonio Spurs (9-7 SU, 8-8 ATS, 6-10 O/U) as they try to bounce back from a resounding 96-85 home loss to the Portland Trailblazers in the BetUS Sportsbook on Sunday.
