The third leg of the Florida swing comes our way from Palm Harbor this week when the 2015 Valspar Championship is contested a the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort. Copperhead is a par 71, 7,340 yard track that rewards a solid all-around game.
It is unlikely we will see the same drama that took place at Bay Hill last year.
Tiger Woods came into Sunday five shots back of Sean O’Hair but he chipped away early and with a birdie on 18, he claimed his second consecutive Arnold Palmer Invitational and sixth overall.
With the Masters just a few weeks away, many of the hottest players in golf are taking a breather after a busy stretch that yielded some great fields. Even with a so-so field, though, the Transitions Championship should be interesting. The host venue, the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort, played as the second toughest par-71 on Tour last year.
