Whew – we have had a chance to catch our breath after a terrific 2015 NHL playoff run. It is a good time to reflect on the season as a whole and to determine which teams ended the season on top and will enter next season as a threat to do what Chicago just did – hoist Lord Stanley’s Cup.
Just a week remains in the NHL Regular season – the race is on for position for the Stanley Cup Playoffs – the hardest tournament in all of sports. Some teams have made quite a statement down the stretch – others have bumbled their way to close out their Regular seasons – it has definitely been fun!
Another two weeks of NHL action is in the books and the Power Rankings landscape has changed as always. The Rangers have made quite a statement and are now tops in the league while a few of the elite are limping into this week.

Another two weeks of NHL action is in the books – there has been a shakeup in the top 12 in the Power Rankings. One team welcomed back their All-World goaltender and has seen a bump up to top spot while another team lost their keeper for an extended period of time – that team took a major hit in the Rankings.
It’s been two weeks since we updated the Rankings – the All-Star break has here and now it is time for teams to saddle up and race to the finish. Although there has been some reshuffling, the elite 5 remain in the top tier after two weeks while some surprise teams are knocking on the door of a dirty dozen spot.

Well, we are getting a good sense of the teams that will be contending right until the end of the 2014-2015 NHL season – there are a lot of typical, predictable teams in the conversation but there are also a few out-of-the-blue surprises climbing up the Ranks.
One month of the NHL Regular Season is in the books and we are getting a good idea of the teams that should contend the rest of the way. Two weeks ago the Sharks and the Habs were at the top of the Rankings but both teams have fallen on hard time lately paving the way for a few teams that we all envisioned being at the top of the hill this season.
We are well into the thick of the NHL season and how things are changing in the rankings. It is interesting to see where most had the top teams heading into the season.
The wait is over – the start of the 2014-2015 NHL season is upon us. Who are the teams to beat this upcoming season? Which teams’ free agency moves may have put them over the top? The NHL Power Rankings will try to break down the top dogs as the season wears along.
