The NBA Finals shift back to Texas where the San Antonio Spurs host the Miami Heat in Game 5. The Spurs have a chance to win the title in this one, having dominated in Miami, winning Games 3 and 4 on the road by a combined 40 points.
The Heat are in big trouble heading to San Antonio for game 5. Not only are they down 3-1 but they looked so bad on their home floor it is hard to imagine that they are going to be able to beat the Spurs three games in a row to claim a third straight championship.
The San Antonio Spurs host the Miami Heat on Sunday evening in the second game of the NBA Finals. The Spurs claimed the opener in the series, just as they did a year ago, and look to take an early stranglehold on the series with a second consecutive win on their home court.
Game one was pretty close until the Heat just couldn’t keep up in the fourth quarter. Certainly depth is a factor when that happens and we all knew that Miami was the team for whom that might be a real problem in this series.
The San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat will begin the NBA Finals on Thursday in San Antonio with Game 1. The teams met in the NBA Finals a year ago with the Heat prevailing in seven games. The Heat look to win again this year in what would be their third consecutive title victory.
Its a Finals rematch but given the teams involved and how last season played out that is hardly the worst thing in the world. Miami has taken care of business series by series and really never been in much danger throughout these playoffs.
The San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat will meet in the NBA Finals for the second year in a row beginning on Thursday. The two teams took part in an epic Finals a year ago with the Heat prevailing in seven games to win their second title in as many years.
The Heat had their 8 game winning streak halted on Tuesday at Houston. Things do not get much easier Thursday night as they will visit San Antonio in a rematch of last year’s Finals.
You can be pretty certain that at no time this season did the Miami Heat players, coaches or front office think that come June they would be facing two consecutive elimination games at home.
