The New Orleans Hornets, fresh off of a 7 point victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night, go back to the Crescent City to host a game against the San Antonio Spurs. Sports betting fans have to take both of these teams seriously as the Hornets and Spurs have turned things around after suffering defeats earlier in the season.
The Mike D’Antoni coached New York Knicks continue their west coast swing when they travel up from Phoenix to Los Angeles to take on the Lakers. The Lakers were one of the best teams in the NBA against the spread going 6 and 1 in their first eight games but since then they’ve been somewhat of a disappointment for sports betting fans.
The Los Angeles Clippers are horrible. The Portland Trailblazers are pretty darn good. This should be a good old fashioned sports betting lock, right? Maybe not. The Clippers are a terrible team but they do have Baron Davis in the back-court. Davis is averaging 27 points and 7 assists.
Just when a lot of sports betting fans thought it was safe to put the proverbial fork into the San Antonio Spurs, the Spurs start winning games. At this point in the season, and it’s still extremely early, the Spurs are 12 and 8. That’s four games above .500.
Alright BetUS Sportsbook bettors, another weekend is upon us and that means another entertaining weekend of NBA basketball wagering for NBA sports betting buffs.
As usual, my NBA weekend wagering doubleheader is designed to give BetUS NBA sports bettors the maximum opportunity to make a winning wager on two NBA contests.
The Miami Heat travel to Portland to take on a Trailblazers team that has just gotten better since Greg Oden has finally hit the court. Oden, last season’s number one draft pick, had been a huge disappointment to sports betting fans suffering injury after injury, but once he got healthy, online sportsbook fans knew that the Blazers would start winning games. They have.
The Lakers host the Nets in a game that at one time might have meant something to NBA fans. Not any more. The Los Angeles Lakers are one of the best teams in the NBA with a straight-up record of 11 and 1 and an against the spread record of 8 and 4. Sports betting fans have already decided that the Lakers are the best online basketball betting team in the NBA right now.
The online sportsbook betting odds haven’t been released for the NBA’s slate of scheduled games on Saturday and Sunday. That’s okay. Sports betting fans know that in order to be successful at betting the NBA, looking ahead and setting online betting odd limits is an important step.
The San Antonio Spurs are in disarray. After their on the court leader, Tony Parker, went down with an injury, this team has become an also-ran in the NBA. Sports betting fans shouldn’t be surprised that the once mighty Spurs might not even make the playoffs this season.
Boy the Lakers made it tough last night! For sports betting fans it doesn’t get any closer than that! I truly believed the Lakers were going to cover the 6 ½ points and they did by beating the Dallas Mavericks by 7 at the end but they needed point-guard Derek Fischer to sink two free throws in the final 10 seconds, and the Mavericks to fumble the ball out of bounds going down the court, for the Lakers to secure the win against the BetUS Sportsbook wagering spread.
