Kansas is 14-12-1 ATS with an O/U record of 13-12 and Eastern Kentucky is 16-16-1 ATS with an O/U record of 19-13. In their last games Eastern Kentucky beat Belmont in the Ohio Valley Conference tournament final and Kansas was upset losing to Iowa State 94-83 in the Big 12 conference tournament.
The Eastern Kentucky Colonels finished the 2007 season with a stellar 9-3 overall recorded that included a perfect 8-0 mark in the Ohio Valley Conference and the program’s 19th conference title. The Colonels also advanced to the NCAA Division I FCS playoffs for a record 18th time and posted a winning record for the 30th consecutive year.
Still, beating the Cincinnati Bearcats, (10-3 SU, 4-3 Conf., 8-3-1 ATS, 5-6-1 O/U) on the road in their season opener figures to be a fairly tall task as the Bearcats routinely put money in the BetUS NCAA football wagering population’s pocket, going 4-2 ATS at home and an even better, 4-1-1- ATS on the road and beating Southern Mississippi 31-21 in the Papa Johns.com Bowl.
