MLB Lines – Cardinals vs Rockies
Even when your organization receives horrible news like the Cardinals (42-35) have lately, a series against the Colorado Rockies (34-42) is welcome reprieve.

The Colorado Rockies host the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday in the third game of a four-game set at Coors Field. The Braves have won both a low-scoring, and a high-scoring game at Coors Field to begin this series, claiming a 3-1 decision in the opener on Monday, then taking a 13-10 win in the second game of the series on Tuesday.
When the Rockies are at home, they play in high elevation. Yet, they are no longer at lofty heights in the NL West standings like they were earlier in the season. The visiting Braves hope to keep the plummet occurring on Monday night.
The Diamondbacks surprisingly good fortunes on the road have continued with a couple of victories over Colorado to start this series.
On the season the Rockies have an Over/Under record of 28-21 and a run-line W/L record of 33-19 and the Phillies have an Over/Under record of 26-19 and a run-line W/L record of 23-26.
On the season the Rockies have an Over/Under record of 23-11 and a run-line W/L record of 24-12 and the Rangers have an Over/Under record of 18-14 and a run-line W/L record of 12-22.
This is a rare home and home in interleague play. The Rockies certainly took care of business in Colorado winning both games with by a combined score of 20-3.
The New York Mets will make the trip out to Denver to open a four-game series with the Colorado Rockies on Thursday night. The Rockies return home red hot, having won five games on their six-game road trip, while the Mets also have five wins in their last six games, with a day off on Wednesday after their game in Philadelphia was rained out.
The Diamondbacks (8-19) have been miserable to start the 2014 campaign, with lousy pitching and inconsistent offense being the formula for sitting at the bottom of the National League West division. The Snakes hope to start the job of turning it around at home against the Rockies (13-12) on Monday night.
On the season the Rockies have an Over/Under record of 13-9 and a run-line W/L record of 15-8 and the Dodgers have an Over/Under record of 10-12 and a run-line W/L record of 15-8.
Opening Day is finally here, and baseball nuts everywhere are rejoicing. There are a ton of tasty match-ups on the Opening Day slate; one in southern Florida should offer some great pitching and maybe even a couple of moonshots.
To me the San Diego Padres are one of the most counfounding teams out there. With the names they have on their roster they should probably be among the worst teams in the Majors but they are hanging in there at just below .500.
This is a big series for the Diamondbacks as they look to close ground on the surprising Rockies at the top of the division.
Somebody has to finish last in the NL West this season and Colorado is the perfect candidate after going 64-98 last year en route to falling a full 30 games out of first place and 12 games behind the third-place Padres.
The Colorado Rockies enter 2012 coming off a dismal 73-win season, and while they added to their somewhat already powerful offense, they failed to add any real assets to their questionable pitching staff that let them down after being pegged to win the division or wild card in 2011.
