NFL Football Week 4: What We Learned

Saints get signature win and look like an elite team:

The New Orleans Saints took on the undefeated New York Jets this past Sunday and came away with a 14 point victory as 7 point home favorites. It appears that no one can stop the balanced offense of the New Orleans Saints, not even Rex Ryan’s attacking 3-4 defense. Drew Brees didn’t have a big day numbers wise as he only threw for 190 yards and one touchdown but he made the big play in crunch time. With Pierre Thomas back healthy the Saints were able to show that the Saints are not just a passing team.

NFC North Future Wagering (Favre Analysis)

NFL: FAVRE TO MAKE VIKES A FAVE?

Brett Favre hasn’t officially announced his return to the NFL but when he does will the Minnesota Vikings current +900 NFL odds to win the NFC will be seen as a bargain.

Minnesota is currently listed at +900 odds to win the conference, the same odds the Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints are getting. The teams getting better odds are the favorite New York Giants (+400), and the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys (+500 each).

Tony George’s NFL Rant

Tony’s Takes – NFL Rants – Super Bowl and Brett Favre

Every now and then I notice things that just make me wonder…here is a quote from Fox Sports.com today

“A source told FOXSports.com to expect the NFL to consider playing Super Bowl LI (51) in London. Super Bowls XLIV through XLVII are already committed state-side and there’s no way the league would play a landmark game like Super Bowl L anywhere else but the U.S.

Week 17 NFL Spread: Dolphins vs. Jets

NFL Playoff Implications Dolphins @ Jets

The Miami Dolphins play the New York Jets in a game where, should Miami win, will have made the greatest single season turnaround in NFL history. The Dolphins won only 1 game last season. They’ve already won ten games this season and if they win this Sunday then every sports betting fan in the world will have to give kudos to the Fins who will win the AFC East Division with a record of 11 and 5. Miami has been one of the more pleasant surprises this season for BetUS Sportsbook NFL betting fans. They have gone only 7 and 8 against the BetUS online wagering spread but the fact that they are winning games straight-up, as underdogs in many of those games, have to put a smile onto the faces of online football betting fans.

Week 15 NFL Spread: Bills vs. Jets

NFL Betting Bills vs. Jets

The Buffalo Bills have tanked the season while the New York Jets are one of the tougher NFL betting teams to figure out. The Jets have caused ulcers for online betting fans while one week looking like Super Bowl contenders and then the next week looking like the Detroit Lions of the east coast.

Jets vs. Patriots Thursday Night Football Spread

NFL Week 11 Betting – New York Jets vs. New England Patriots

The New York Jets travel to New England to take on the Patriots in the second game of their rivalry. In the first game, the Patriots pulled out a victory over the Jets who, for some reason, can’t seem to put together more than two good games. Sports betting fans should note that the Patriots are a solid team, better than they were when they faced the Jets the first time, so the chances of the Jets actually coming out and winning this game probably aren’t that good.

Jets vs. Bills Week 9 Spread

NFL Football Trends – New York Jets vs. Buffalo Bills

The New York Jets travel to Buffalo to take on the AFC East leading Buffalo Bills. The Bills have been very good this season. Well, they were very good this season up until their loss to the Miami Dolphins this past Sunday. Sports betting fans should note that the Buffalo Bills are 5 and 2 straight-up but only 4 and 3 against the BetUS online wagering spread. The Bills have a very solid team on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. They have one of the best running backs in the league in Marshawn Lynch and a more than capable quarterback in Trent Edwards.
