This Sunday, 43 NASCAR drivers will have to do something most of them aren’t used to: make a right turn. They’ll be at Watkins Glen for the second of just two road races on the Sprint Cup circuit, the Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen.

We’ve been waiting awhile for this one, but the biggest event on the online sports betting calendar is just around the corner. Super Bowl XLIV kicks off from Miami’s Dolphin Stadium – recently rebranded as Sun Life Stadium – on February 7 (6:30 p.m. ET, CBS). This is the latest in the year the Super Bowl has ever been held.
Super Bowl XLIII? Forget that. The best NFL games of the year are usually the Conference Round matchups. Over the past decade, the AFC title game has been called the “real” Super Bowl. But the gulf between the two conferences has closed somewhat, giving us two high-quality games to handicap this Sunday.
Charles Barkley won’t be there. But you can bet he’ll be watching Thursday’s NBA on TNT doubleheader along with the rest of the basketball world.
Barkley has taken a leave of absence in the wake of his recent arrest on suspicion of drunk driving. That’ll reduce (or increase dramatically, depending on your point of view) the entertainment value of TNT’s flagship basketball program. But this remains the best NBA show on television, and hoops is about to take over the sports betting scene as football season winds down.
