NFL: COWBOYS BIG DOGS IN BIG APPLE

The Dallas Cowboys are coming off a nice home win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but they’re still 8 ½-point dogs at the New York Giants.

This is one of the many Week 9 early odds you can find at Sportsbook.com and this promises to be one of the best games on the schedule as there’s no love lost between these fierce NFC East rivals.

We also have the best selection of future odds, and the best promotions available like our Rush for the Riches and Primetime Props.

Dallas quarterback Brad Johnson engineered the victory for his team last week, but he’s not playing very well at all. The Boys are considering a change to Brooks Bollinger, but either may struggle against the defending world champs who won at Pittsburgh last week.

The Minnesota Vikings are coming off a bye week and giving 4 ½-point spread at home to the Houston Texans. Houston has won three games in a row at home, but this is their first road game since way back on September 28th.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are solid 7 ½-point favorites at the Cincinnati Bengals, and a whopping 94% of the betting public is backing them. That’s what happens when you have a winless team in Cincinnati (0-8) who hasn’t covered the spread at home this year (0-3).

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have moved from a 7 ½-point road favorite at Kansas City to a current 8 ½-point favorite. Don’t expect to see running back Larry Johnson playing this week for the Chiefs as he’s had a variety of off-the-field troubles.

The Baltimore Ravens are 1 ½-point dogs at Cleveland this week. Both teams are playing good football right now with the Ravens winning their last two and the Browns three out of four. So far, 77% of the early bettors favor the home team.

Buffalo is giving 5 ½-points at home to the New York Jets. Buffalo is one of the best home teams in the NFL at 3-0 straight up and 2-1 ATS. The Jets have had an easy schedule the last four weeks and Brett Favre and company must play a lot better.

The Arizona Cardinals have lost their last three road games but they had a good chance to win at Carolina last week. The Cards are three-point chalk on the road against a suddenly competitive St. Louis Rams squad.

The Chicago Bears aren’t a team that you associate with a lot of scoring. However, they rank 3rd in the NFL in that category and that’s one reason they’re huge 13-point home favorites over the lowly Detroit Lions. Early action shows 65% of the early bettors are backing the Bears.

The Tennessee Titans are a perfect 7-0 straight up and ATS and they have another tough opponent this week when the Green Bay Packers come to town. The Titans are a reasonable 5 ½-point favorite as they continue to strive for perfection.

The Denver Broncos are coming off a bye-week and hoping that their defense shows up the second half of the season. Denver hosts the Miami Dolphins as three-point chalk. These teams last played in 2005 but Miami has covered the last five games.

The Atlanta Falcons continue to be one of the surprise stories in football with rookie quarterback Matt Ryan. However, they are a road favorite for the first time this year at the Oakland Raiders. A solid 89% of the early bettors like Atlanta giving three-points.

The Philadelphia Eagles are traveling to the West Coast for the second time in their last three games and they are at Seattle as 6 ½-point favorites. Only 5% of the betting public likes the Seahawks even though they trounced San Francisco last week.

The New England Patriots are getting 5 ½-points at Indianapolis on Sunday Night Football and it will be interesting to see how this rivalry looks like without Tom Brady. One thing for sure, the Colts are desperate for a win after starting out 3-4.

The Washington Redskins opened up as three-point chalk at home to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football, but it’s down to 1.5. Keep an eye on the status of Steelers running back Willie Parker who hopes to return.
