Kobe became the 15th player in NBA history to reach the milestone, and did so while over two years younger than current all-time scoring champ, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Considering he already holds the second highest single-game scoring record in NBA history, last night’s achievement will solidify Kobe’s reputation as one of the all-time greatest scorers in NBA history. Time will only tell how high his final total will be, but it seems like 30,000 will be seen in the not too distant future.
