MLB news: Albert Pujols out with fractured forearm
The St. Louis Cardinals feared the worst when Albert Pujols injured his arm in a collision with Kansas City’s Wilson Betemit on Sunday.
Yesterday, their fears were realized when doctors diagnosed the superstar slugger with a fractured left forearm.
He’s expected to miss four to six weeks.
Chad Cordero retires
Remember Chad Cordero? The funny-lookin’ closer who had a nice run in the early days of the Washington Nationals? He announced his retirement yesterday. [soliloquy id=”82219″]
Cordero saved 113 games for Washington from 2005 to 2007, including 47 in 2005, but battled injuries and barely pitched from 2009 until now.
