This will be the first time that either the Ivory Coast have met an Asian side or North Korea have met an African side in the World Cup.

Technically this match stills carries weight for the Ivory Coast as the Elephants could mathematically qualify for the next round if they beat Korea by at least eight clear goals while Brazil would have to beat Portugal 2-0.

Regardless of the result Korea DPR cannot progress to the next round after picking up no points in their opening two fixtures. World Cup Betting

North Korea will just be going through he motions in its game against the Ivory Coast, since it was kicked out of contention by a humiliating 7-0 loss against Portugal on Monday. It was the most one-sided World Cup match since Germany routed Saudi Arabia 8-0 in 2002.

North Korea used the same lineup that played well against Brazil. Despite some early chances, they lost all momentum quickly when attacker Meireles latched on to a clever pass and gave Portugal its first score of the tournament. The Koreans fell apart and were unable to match the force of the Portuguese onslaught.

Sadly the game was aired on North Korean state television, a first for a match abroad, allowing a nation to witness the bloodbath.

The Ivory Coast went into its match with Brazil with a defensive stance, putting most of its players on defense when Brazil held possession, leaving scorer Drogba alone at the front.

The strategy didn’t pay off as they fell 3-1 allowing Brazil to advance. It was a physical match that saw Brazil star Kaka ejected with two late yellow cards.

Brazil made some passing mistakes in the beginning and left control up for grabs, but the Ivory Coast was unable to produce on counterattacks and free kicks. Instead they surrendered two goals to Luis Fabiano, including one controversial one.

Fabiano used his hands and referees missed it. While coach Sven-Goran Eriksson was livid, the outcome was still a loss without it.

The North Korean’s have lost their last three World Cup games, conceding 14 goals in the process, while the Ivory Coast has scored only one in both of their previous matches.

With those lines I expect a meaningless draw for both sides and an early exit.
