NCAAF Week 11 Trends – California Golden Bears vs. USC Trojans

California, which in the past few college football seasons has been the only team to challenge USC for the Pac-10 title, will travel to Los Angeles to take on the Trojans in the Coliseum. USC has been absolutely terrific lately.

They are easily the best team in the Pac-10 and if it weren’t for a huge misstep versus the Oregon State Beavers earlier this year, they’d be the number one ranked team in the BCS. USC’s offense can obliterate you with more than one NFL prospect running back. Sports betting fans also won’t have trouble watching how their defense can take down opposing team’s quarterbacks virtually at will.

The Cal Golden Bears are fresh off of a victory over the then ranked Oregon Ducks. Cal, like USC, has a very good offense. But Cal’s defense doesn’t come close to USC’s and there’s no doubt that in the end that might be the reason that Cal loses this game against the online betting spread.

Cal vs. USC isn’t exactly the Pac-10’s version of Ohio State vs. Michigan, but its close enough for online wagering fans. College football betting fans have to really like the fact that because USC obliterated the Washington Huskies last Saturday, they are an awe-inspiring 21 ½ point favorite against a team that they rarely cover against.

Every trend I saw regarding the head-to-head match-up between Cal and USC historically points to Cal putting fear into the Trojans in this game.

I have no doubt that USC is the better team. I also have no doubt that USC wins this game straight-up.
