Broncos vs. Patriots Week 7 MNF Spread

Point spread for the week 7 Monday Night Football NFL clash between the Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots plus the betting spreads, and betting trends for nfl football gambling.

NFL Week 7 Trends – Denver Broncos vs. New England Patriots

The Denver Broncos travel to New England to take on the Patriots in a key game for both teams. Denver hasn’t been very good against the online betting spread this year. At times they look like a team that could win the AFC Conference and make it to the Super Bowl. At other times they look like a team that has no shot and that soon the San Diego Chargers will assert themselves in the AFC West. The Broncos have a decent quarterback in Jay Cutler and very good running backs in Michael Pittman and Selvin Young but their defense has been terrible so far this season. If it weren’t for some lucky breaks against teams like the New Orleans Saints, the Broncos would be sitting on 2 wins at the most.

The New England Patriots have been so-so against the BetUS online wagering spread this season. The reason is simple. The Patriots are without the best player in the NFL, quarterback Tom Brady. With Brady this team is one of the best in the league. Without Brady they struggle against teams that they used to beat with ease. One needs only look at how the San Diego Chargers dismantled this Patriots’ team last Sunday to know that things aren’t going as planned so far this season.

Here are the BetUS online sportsbook betting odds for this game:

Kick-off: 10/20/2008 8:35 pm est.

Denver Broncos + 3 – 115 + 145 O 48 – 110
New England Patriots – 3 – 105 – 165 U 48 – 110

Here are a few online wagering trends that might help us find a good online bet in this game:

The Denver Broncos are 1 and 5 against the spread in their last 6 games on the road.
The Denver Broncos are 1-4-1 against the spread in their last 6 games versus an AFC rival.
The New England Patriots are 1 and 4 against the spread versus a team with a winning record.
The New England Patriots are 1 and 7 against the spread in their last 8 games versus a rival from the AFC Conference.

The Broncos sure are an up and down team. The difference, of course, is that their quarterback, Jay Cutler, is likely to help them win while the jury is still out on Matt Cassell.

Cassell could turn into a dynamite player, but more than likely he just doesn’t have the football smarts to get the job done. Of course, the Patriots get to play against that terrible Broncos’ defense. It’s going to be tough for the Broncos to stop the Patriots from getting into the end zone.

That’s the key to me in this game. The Patriots’ defense could play the Broncos tough while the Broncos’ defense has no shot against the Patriots. I expect Randy Moss to have a big game. That means the Patriots win.

Monday Night Football Prediction:

It also means that they cover against the BetUS online wagering spread. I’ll go ahead and make an online bet on the Patriots to beat the Broncos and cover versus the spread.
