Golf Betting Travelers Championship Predictions/Pick
Supposedly, it’s time to bet on Wimbledon odds, but why not wait another week? It’s just high seeds beating on low seeds for now, and the PGA’s Traveler’s Championship has a better field than you may expect.
Let’s have a look at some of the more interesting PGA golf gambling picks this week on the links.
Here is a five-pack of golfers with a chance to win:
Lucas Glover
Travelers odds: +3350
He’s a long shot, but we’ll start with him since he’s all over the golf news after winning the U.S. Open as a 175-1 underdog. He likely made a select few people rich last week, and some bettors want to cash in this week. Be careful; winning the U.S. Open over five days at Bethpage Black is probably a draining experience.
Don’t be surprised if he’s exhausted, as euphoric as he may be.
Hunter Mahan
Travelers odds: +1415
It’s rare – maybe a first – to see Mahan as the No. 1 favorite in a tournament, but the sports predictions experts are justified in giving him top billing. In his last three visits to TPC River Highlands, host of the Travelers, Mahan has a win and two second-place finishes.
History doesn’t get any better than that.
Kenny Perry
Travelers odds: +2050
Enough with the Perry hype. Yes, he’s a superb ball striker and yes, TPC River Highlands is a relatively easy course that rewards good shot makers. But it’s time to remove the rose-colored glasses!
As good as Perry has been over the last few years, that Perry disappeared at the Masters. Since then, he hasn’t finished in a top 20. Stay away.
Stewart Cink
Travelers odds: +2250
The defending champ definitely has a shot to win this week. He looked solid at the U.S. Open and has cracked the top five 10 times in 11 starts at the Travelers. The track record is there, but can he keep up with the aggressive players who know they can rack up birdies here?
Anthony Kim
Travelers odds: +2550
Sleeper time. To call 2009 disappointing for Kim would be an understatement. He took the Tour by storm last season and many sportsbook software developers projected him as the next great challenger for Tiger. After a second-place at the Mercedes to start 2009, however, it’s been all downhill for Kim. Yet there’s reason for optimism.
He was solid at Bethpage last week, tying for 16th. More importantly, he has the peripherals you want in a golf betting pick for the Travelers. He leads the Tour in birdie-conversion percentage and he’s third in birdie average. At a forgiving course like River Highlands, that aggressiveness should pay off. I like Kim to get the monkey off his back this week.

I have been on the Anthony Kim bandwagon all season long and he is definitely overdue for a win. Anyone who was in contention at the US Open may be too brained fried to effectively compete this week.
you might have been wrong about perry being finished after masters disaster he looks in top form although there is still 3 days golf to be played agree with kim as a possible and the contenders at us open are up there after round 1 noteably ricky barnes.when i saw kim win a couple of tournaments last season and how he performed at ryder cup i thought he was going to blow everyone out of the water including a certain mr T Woods but he has disappointed big time this season maybe this week will kick start his season?
Kim has been a MAJOR underachiever this year. But there is too much talent in him for this to keep going much longer.
