Game 7 – some may have predicted it, but there is no way that they could have prognosticated how this series would unfold. Two three game streaks are on the line on Tuesday night – for the Hawks it is a three game winning streak. For the Canucks, it is a three game losing streak.

Chicago had everything going for them heading into Game 6 and although they won the game, they somehow gave back some momentum to the Vancouver Canucks. Chicago got another great game from Dave Bolland in Game 6 – he had a goal and an assist. Hossa is looking dangerous again and the second line is clicking – Chicago should be OK offensively on Tuesday.

Quietly, Corey Crawford has had himself a great series. The Hawks have been winning lately but they have been giving up shots in the process – nearly 30 per game. Crawford has given up only five goals in the last three games against the best offense in the NHL.

Vancouver appears that they have worked out of their offensive funk. They were relentless and carried the play for the majority of Game 6. A few more power plays would be nice but I digress. I like the Canucks’ big boys to be at their best in Game 7.

The media is loving the Roberto Luongo story aren’t they? There is no doubt that Lou will start on Tuesday night nor should there be. Luongo won a Gold Medal for Canada in this building a year ago – he’s the man. Expect Luongo to rise to the enormous occasion!

NHL Betting Trends:
Over is 6-2-1 in CHI last 9 overall.
CHI are 7-3 in their last 10 vs. Northwest.
Under is 7-3 in CHI last 10 road games.
Under is 11-3-2 in VAN last 16 overall.
Under is 10-3-1 in VAN last 14 vs. Central.
Under is 6-2 in VAN last 8 Tue. games.

Betting Prediction: I know the Canucks lost Game 6 but they can take solace in the fact that they looked more like the Vancouver team that we expect. With the Hawks looking tired and the Canucks seemingly over an absolutely brutal stretch, expect the business-like Canucks to finally put an end to their Kryptonite… finally!

Pick: Vancouver Canucks -165 and the Over – 5.5 goals
