Each team has traded wins in the series – momentum hasn’t been a factor in the least. The series has featured four one-goal games and six Overtime periods – it has been that close! So who takes the deciding Game 7? Will it be the hometown Ducks or the battle-tested Chicago Blackhawks? Let’s take a look.

[dfads params=’groups=64160&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]

The Chicago Blackhawks will look to avoid a second straight year of Game 7 disappointment in the Western Conference Final Saturday night – they lost to the eventual Cup winners LA is last year’s Final. You have to like their chances! After all, they enter off arguably their best game of the series – a 5-2 win at home Wednesday night. Seemingly everything is going well for the Hawks as we head into Game 7 – the offense has generated an impressive 14 goals the last three games and Corey Crawford seems to have gotten his Game 4 and 5 Yips.

We knew coming into the West Final that the Chicago Blackhawks had an impressive offense – they may just be peaking at the right time. With 14 goals in the last three games, everyone seems to be contributing. Check out this Hot List! Patrick Kane has 12 points in 11 games, Duncan Keith has four points in two games, Andrew Shaw, Brent Seabrook and Marian Hossa each have three points in three games, Brandon Saad four points in three, Teuvo Teravainen and Patrick Sharp have three points in three contests and Andrew Desjardins has two points in two.

It appears obvious that the Chicago offense will do its part – it may be up to Corey Crawford to keep his team in the game. His experience will be handy. Crawford surrendered nine goals in Game 4 and 5 but looked good in game 6 in stopping 28 of 30 shots. He has been just OK in the three games in Anaheim posting about a 2.50 goals against and a .918 save percentage. Overall he is 1-1-0 with a 3.53 GAA and .883 save percentage in his last three games.

Game 6 represented Anaheim’s first regulation loss of the playoffs so far – incredible. There absolutely has to be some jitters in the Ducks room ahead of this game after that loss – history is not exactly on their sides heading into Game 7. For the third straight postseason the Ducks will head into a Game 7 after holding a 3-2 series lead – they ended up losing both series the last couple of years.

For the Ducks to win goaltender Frederik Andersen will have to be a whole lot better than he’s been! Andersen has allowed a staggering 14 goals the last three games and has looked like a raw rookie at times over that span. That’s the bad news for Mr. Andersen (and it is bad). If you want some good news look no further than his 11-3 home record in the playoffs so far and his .925 save percentage over that span.

Anaheim’s offense should do its part – they have all series long. The Ducks has scored 19 goals in the six games – 11 the last three. Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf haven’t been lighting the score sheet on fire as of late but they are still as dangerous a duo as there is in the game, Jakob Silfverberg and Sami Vatanen each have three points in two games and Patrick Maroon, Cam Fowler and Francois Beauchemin each have to points in two games.

Ryan Kesler’s role both offensively and defensively also cannot be underestimated.

Game 7 NHL Gambling Trends

• CHI are 8-3 in their last 11 vs. Pacific.
• CHI are 8-3 in their last 11 overall.
• Under is 7-1 in ANA last 8 Sat. games.
• Over is 5-1-2 in ANA last 8 vs. Central.
• ANA are 22-7 in their last 29 Sat. games.
• CHI are 9-23-2 in the last 34 meetings in Anaheim.

I picked the Blackhawks to win this series and I am sticking to my guns. Experience on the biggest stage is the biggest reason why.

You need not look further than the play of Frederik Andersen on the Biggest Stage to see my point.

Chicago Blackhawks +115

The Ducks entered the playoffs with huge question marks in goal – they exit the playoffs with – guess what? Huge question marks in goal!
