The Ducks entered the All-Star break as the top team in the Overall Standings with the Canucks seventh in the West. The Ducks will be looking to stay hot and to extend what has been a good stretch of games in Vancouver – they are 7-0-2 in their last nine visits to Rogers Arena.

The Ducks entered the All-Star break as one of the hottest teams in the NHL – five straight wins and 8-2 in their last 10 games. Everything is going right for the Ducks – they are healthy, their offense is clicking and goaltender Frederik Andersen has been absolutely on fire!
Andersen will be looking for a seventh straight win on Tuesday night – he is an incredible 16-2-1 in his last 19 games with a 2.24 GAA. He has been even better in his career against Vancouver – he has posted a 5-0-1 record in six games with an incredible 1.29 GAA. In his six career starts against the Canucks Andersen has allowed more than a goal just one time.
Offensively the Ducks aren’t quite elite but they are certainly making a case to enter that tier. Corey Perry is finally healthy has four goals and four assists in his last four games, MVP candidate Ryan Getzlaf has five points in his last four games, Patrick Maroon has five points in his last three games and Cam Fowler has four points in his last four games.

Everyone was Hot before the break – hopes are that the interruption didn’t cool the Ducks off.
Simply put Anaheim is one of the toughest teams to deal with in the NHL right now – to beat them requires a special effort.
The Vancouver Canucks are just 5-5-0 in their last 10 games – most of that action came on the road. The Canucks have been suffering from an all-too-familiar offensive drought as of late – they have scored one goal or less in four of their last seven games overall. The power play is just 0-for-25 in their last eight games and a number of players that the Canucks depend on haven’t been making nay noise at all – the Sedins have been struggling and Radim Vrbata has just two points in his last seven games.
It’s a good thing for Ryan Miller who has been very good as of late. He has gone 3-1-0 in his last four starts with a scintillating 1.01 GAA and .963 save percentage. He has given Vancouver a chance to win each and every night but has suffered from a serious lack of support. To make matters worse for Vancouver, Kevin Bieksa, who makes a living out of making things miserable for his opposition is out indefinitely.

The Ducks will have some room out there with Bieksa out of the lineup – he is a big loss for Vancouver against such a skilled team
