Worst Game Ever – St. Louis Rams vs. Detroit Lions
Holy crap what the hell happened here? The winless Rams take on the pitiful Lions in a game that only a mother could love. Ah heck, if Marc Bulger’s mother loves football she probably wouldn’t even bother with this game! Let’s make it interesting and dissect the betting lines just so you have something to be interested about in this game.

The Rams have been putting up 8.6 freaking points per game, and Steven Jackson is toiling away in one of the most woeful situations across the league. In terms of NFL betting, the Rams haven’t been able to secure any type of faith, unless you consider that they’ve gone 4-3 in the O/U. Allowing 30.1 points per game certainly gives you a helping hand in covering any TOTAL the Rams take part in.
Detroit isn’t much better, not that that should surprise you. A 31.1 points allowed average means that they’ve been able to hit the over in 3-of-6 games. Matt Stafford might play in this game, but Calvin Johnson is totally healthy meaning that he’ll have a woeful secondary to take on. Can you smell the burning? It’s the scoreboard.
St. Louis Rams (0-7) vs. Detroit Lions (1-5)
Sunday, November 1 st — Ford Field, Detroit — 1:00pm EST
NFL Betting Line: Detroit -4 (43.5)
In a game that will allow Calvin Johnson to light up the secondary, the Rams have just one choice to counter. And the name of that counter is “Steven Jackson”. The rush defense of the Lions allows 112.3 yards per game and while the Rams give up a hideous amount of yards against on the ground (135.9), I think that Jackson’s undeniable presence in the ground game gives the Rams a chance in this one. If you’re unsure about which side of the BetUS NFL Sportsbook line to take, side with the OVER.
