Oakland To Embarrass Themselves In San Diego
If there’s any single team I love at home, it’s the San Diego Chargers. They’re 13-6 ATS in their last 19 home stands and are carrying a 5-1 ATS and five game undefeated streak in to this match while hosting Oakland. Phillip Rivers is going to explode in this game, even though the rushing game has been an unmitigated disaster.
You don’t often get a lot of bad press when you win a game 37-7, but the Chargers sure did. Why exactly is everyone so behind Darren Sproles to take the starting job? He’s a 5-foot-6, 185 pound bag of disaster waiting to happen. But he’s the perfect third-down back and return specialist. What is with people? LDT may not have the same explosiveness as he used to, but he’s still good enough to find his way between tackles (as long as it’s not at the goal line).
Oakland Raiders (2-5) vs. San Diego Chargers (3-3)
Sunday, November 1 st — Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego — 4:05pm EST
NFL Betting Line: San Diego -16.5 (41.5)
The Raiders are just awful right now. Simply dreadful. They can’t decide between JaMarcus Russell and Bruce Gradkowski. You know things are bad when that’s your quarterback battle. After a promising start in Week 1 against the Chargers, the Raiders have committed to sucking once again and have sunk to a 1-4 ATS record in their past 5 games. They’re 2-11 ATS in their last 13 against San Diego. Don’t get your hopes up.
