Last week the Giants beat the Falcons 34-31 but didn’t look quite good meanwhile the Broncos looked terrible especially on offense in the loss 32-3 against the Chargers. “I think the good thing is for a team in our situation, coming off a tough division game, is obviously we didn’t play nearly the way we wanted to and on a four-game losing streak, we are eager to get back on the field and play again,” coach Josh McDaniels said. “This might be a good time for our team.”

In order to keep winning the G-Men need to find consistency from QB Eli Manning who had a fantastic start to the season but after his foot injury he has been up and down.

“I felt good,” Manning said. “I felt in rhythm and guys were making plays and getting open. And the offensive line was protecting, so I felt good.”

Manning may need a bigger effort from his O-line as he faces Elvis Dumervil, the best DE in the sack department. He will probably have two guys on him trying to slow him down.

Also with RB Ahmad Bradshaw ruled out for this week, Manning will need Brandon Jacobs to step up into the starting role. Jacobs is yet to record a 100 rush yards game however last week he had a good game finishing with 39 yards and a score on 12 carries.

“There are some thoughts that we had that we utilized last week,” coach Tom Coughlin said. “I had rather not share. Denver media would like to know, I think, which I don’t know whether there is any magic — there is no magical answer. You have to play your way out of whatever issues you have and it has to be settled on the field. A lot of it is, as I said, your approach.”

The Broncos, on the other side, have to start throwing the ball down field after the poor air performance from last week. The Giants will send blitzes from multiple angles trying to unsettle Bronco QB Kyle Orton.

“Well, we need to get some things shored up on our end, but we are excited to get going here on Thursday,” Orton said. “I think if we play our best ball, we’ll have a good chance.”

If Orton can find time to throw the ball he must be able to take advantage of a weak Giants secondary that have been full of holes all season.

Consider these NFL betting trends: Denver is 1-4 ATS in its last 5 games and the NY Giants are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games. Also of you are betting on the game total keep in mind it has gone OVER in 4 of the NY Giants last 6 games but it has UNDER in 8 of Denver’s last 10 games.

My pick: Giants to cover. Under.
