If it weren’t for the Saints falling half a point short of covering the spread, we would’ve run the table on our Thanksgiving parlay.

Let’s try to ace it this time around.

Cleveland Browns @ Miami Dolphins

Sunday, December 5, 1:00 p.m. ET
NFL betting favorite: Dolphins -4.5

Two words: Jake Delhomme. It doesn’t matter that the Browns have been a surprisingly competitive team all season. It doesn’t even matter that Peyton Hillis is having a season for the ages. You cannot win a football game with Jake Delhomme as your quarterback. In his last four games, dating back to last year, Delhomme has one touchdown pass and 10 interceptions.

The Dolphins have the NFL’s sixth-ranked defense, they’re playing at home and they really looked back on track at Oakland last week with Chad Henne returning under center. Take the 4.5 points and run!

Prediction: Dolphins 24, Browns 16

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Baltimore Ravens

Sunday, December 5, 8:20 p.m. ET
NFL betting favorite: Ravens -3

This matchup reminds me a bit of the Atlanta game in that I think it could expose the Ravens’ overrated pass defense again. On paper, Baltimore is seventh in the NFL, allowing 205.6 passing yards per game. But the Ravens have faced Brian St-Pierre, Charlie Batch, Jake Delhomme, and a who’s who of bad quarterbacks this year to boost their ranking. Matt Ryan lit them up for 316 yards and three scores. Ryan Fitzpatrick threw four touchdown passes against them; Kyle Orton topped 300 yards.

In Ben Roethlisberger, the Pittsburgh Steelers have a quarterback good enough to put a hurt on Baltimore. Especially with Mike Wallace emerging as perhaps the best deep threat in the AFC. Joe Flacco and the Ravens should pass on Pittsburgh, too – but I like the Steelers to avenge their previous loss.

Prediction: Steelers 27, Ravens 24

Parlay Pick: 1 Parlay of 2 Teams X $100 = Payoff Of $264.46
