Rams Head Coach Jeff Fisher makes his return to Tennessee for the first time since 2010 when the Rams and Titans square off Sunday night. Fisher coached in Tennessee for 17 seasons. The irony behind it all, he lost in the Superbowl to the team he now coaches.
The Titans dropped their opener 31-24 to the Atlanta Falcons. The game was a giant success in terms of getting to see what their future looks like.
QBs Mariota and Mettenberger put in solid performances as they have no pressure on them knowing where they are at on the depth chart.

The Rams on the other hand struggled mightily out of the gate as they dropped an 18-3 decision to the Raiders.
The Rams will be definitely looking for much more consistency this week and they try to get their offensive scheme going.
Kick off is set for 8:00 PM and is going to be nationally televised on FOX.
Tennessee Titans
The Titans key all preseason long will be solidifying Mariota into an NFL ready QB, while getting Mettenberger some solid time as to prepare as a backup.
That went exactly according to plan in the preseason opening loss to Atlanta. Mariota showed clear signs of nerves with two immediate turnovers, but that can be overlooked as it was evident he was clearly nervous taking his first snaps in the NFL.
Mariota responded and looked like a true professional in his final series of the game going 5 for 5. Mariota will look to build off that as he is scheduled to play a majority of the first half on Sunday.

His projected backup, Zach Mettenberger, performed exceptionally well in his opener. Mettenberger went 8 for 11 with 129 yards and two touchdowns.
Mettenberger’s performance comes as a giant relief to the Titans staff as he is going to not only have to be behind Mariota incase of an injury or struggle, but his leadership role is valuable too.
With him performing well and gaining some momentum, he can use that to seriously help Mariota develop.
St. Louis Rams
The Rams offensive line troubles are a major concern for the moving forward. G Rodger Saffold injured his shoulder in the preseason opener and that just adds to the problems the Rams are having.
Rob Havenstein, Tim Barnes, Jamon Brown, and Greg Robinson remain question marked as far as their health and what they can do to protect.
St. Louis looked terrible in their season opener falling 18-3 to the Raiders.

New QB Nick Foles played only two drives in the preseason opener, as he led the Rams to a field goal and then a poor three and out.
While the offensive performance was terrible, the penalties are what drove Fisher crazy. St. Louis committed 14 penalties in the loss and were consistently moving their offense back or allowing the opposition to get first downs.
Expect Foles to get some more playing time than just two drives as he shifts from what was a hurry up offense in Philadelphia, to a more slow and relaxed offense in St. Louis.
