Season Win Totals NFL Predictions – New York Jets 2015 Lines

Jets Over Under Wins Betting Odds

Coming off a dismal 4-12 season, the New York Jets made a litany of changes in the offseason in an effort to turn things around in a hurry. Rex Ryan is out as head coach, and replaced with another defensive guru in Todd Bowles.

The front office was active during the AFC East arms race, and the pieces appear to be in place for Bowles to orchestrate a quick turnaround, be it this year or next.

New York

The Jets find themselves in a situation that’s as old as the NFL. The team is loaded with skilled players at a variety of positions, but the quarterback position is a major question mark, and figures to hold the team back once again.

Geno Smith just hasn’t been able to deliver the goods on a consistent basis, but this appears to be his best opportunity to do so.

New York added Brandon Marshall in the offseason to form a nice one-two punch at wide receiver with Eric Decker.

The running game is also the real deal, with Chris Ivory and Stevan Ridley running out of the backfield.

The offensive line is one of the better units in the league, which will open lanes in the running game, and give Smith time in the pocket.

The defense will again be the key to the Jets’ season.

The secondary was a major issue a year ago, but that unit was shored up with the return of Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie.

The defensive line was a strength a year ago and figures to be as much again.

Rookie Leonard Williams fell into the Jets’ lap on draft day.

He joins Muhammad Wilkerson and Sheldon Richardson up front, and will fill the void left by Richardson during his four-game suspension. David Harris is back to anchor the linebacking corps.

If the Jets hope to make the playoffs, they’ll likely need to have locked up a spot by Week 15, as two of their final three games are on the road – at the Cowboys and at the Bills – and a home date with the Patriots.

They do draw favorable swing games against the Raiders and Jaguars.

2015 New York Jets Season Win Betting Prediction

Bet on Over 7.5 wins -140

The Jets’ change at head coach will grab a lot of headlines, but there are a lot of personnel changes to like in New York.

With as good as the defense will be, Geno Smith won’t need to do much to help the team to wins.
