NFL Football Picks: Handicapping Angles – Week 12 Free Parlay

NFL Week 12 Free NFL Parlay Picks

Straight-up victories are like gold to any NFL team that is contending for a spot in this year’s playoffs, but the trick is to wager on the ones that know how to cover against the spread.

Arizona in the NFC and Kansas City in the AFC have led the way in that department. Each are riding an extended SU winning streak into this week’s action while boasting an 8-2 record ATS.

I went back to work breaking down all of the Week 12 NFL matchups and I am expecting an immediate return on my efforts this Sunday with a pair of free picks that come together perfectly to form this week’s NFL two-team parlay.

Game 1 Miami Dolphins vs. Denver Broncos

NFL Gambling Pointspread: Denver -8
NFL Gambling Total Line: 49
Matchup | Preview

The Dolphins have been one of the bigger surprises in the NFL this season and at 6-4 both SU and ATS they are still in the hunt for the AFC East title; sitting two games in back of New England.

The problem in this matchup is that while Miami has paid-off as a favorite this season with a 4-1 record ATS, it is just 2-3 ATS as an underdog.

Things get worse on the road with a 2-5 record ATS in its last seven games as a road underdog.

Denver was touted as the top favorite to win this year’s Super Bowl through the first half of the season, but a stunning 1-2 record both SU and ATS in its last three games has cleared some space on this bandwagon.

Before jumping ship on a team that covered ATS in its previous four games before this mini-slide, you have to take into consideration that the Broncos’ last three games were all on the road.

Look for them to quickly return to form in front of the home-town crowd at Mile High with a SU win that more than covers the eight points.

Game 2 Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants

NFL Gambling Pointspread: Dallas -3
NFL Gambling Total Line: 47.5
Matchup | Preview

The key to 7-3 Dallas going on and winning the NFC East this season lies in the health of veteran quarterback Tony Romo. We got a taste of what this team looks like without him in the lineup in the Cowboys’ 28-17 loss to Arizona as 1.5-point home favorites in Week 9.

As far as Sunday night’s NFC East clash against the Giants, Romo should be ready to go after last week’s bye. The Cowboys already beat their division rivals 31-21 in Week 7 as 4.5-point favorites at home and things set-up perfectly for a season sweep this Sunday night.

The main reason I am going with Dallas to win and cover in this game has more to do with the Giants’ current form as opposed to the Cowboys’ current record.

Right now it appears that this will be Tom Coughlin’s final ride into the New Jersey sunset after a long and successful run as head coach.

I am afraid that there is no more ‘circling the wagons’ with this team given just how bad New York has looked during its current five-game slide both SU and ATS.

Making matters even worse in this matchup, the Giants’ defense is ranked last in the league against the run, while running the ball behind DeMarco Murray just so happens to be the Cowboys’ biggest strength.
