Betting On N.Y. Giants To Win 2014 Super Bowl

2014 Super Bowl Gambling

The 2012-2013 NFL season was filled with lots of great action, and you can expect more of the same in the 2013-2014 season. There are plenty of teams who are capable of finishing the season as Super Bowl champions. Last year, it was the Baltimore Ravens who ended on top.

Over the next few weeks, we’re going to start looking at some teams that could hoist the Lombardi Trophy this coming season!

New York Giants Odds to win Super Bowl XLVII from Bookmaker: +2,200

The New York Giants were 6-2 through their first eight games last year, and it seemed like everything was lining up for them to make a deep run through the playoffs once again. Instead, the Giants sputtered down the stretch and missed the playoffs with a 9-7 record.

A week nine loss at home to Pittsburgh and a blowout loss in week ten at Cincinnati were the main culprits this team didn’t make the postseason.

The Giants lost four games by a touchdown or less. In general, this was a team that won big and lost in close games last year. Just two years ago they won the Super Bowl, so we know they can win at the highest level. What does this year’s team need to do to get back to the biggest game of them all?

The Giants will have to get better production out of their linebackers. They will also need to have the defensive line dominate on the same level they have in the past. Last year, the defensive line was only dominant at times. They must dominate all the time this year. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

Eli Manning has clearly upgraded his game in the last couple years. He can make every single throw, and he isn’t afraid of standing in the pocket. The one thing Manning still does too much is throw interceptions. If he can cut down on his mistakes this team will win a few more of those close games.

David Wilson showed signs of breaking out at the running back spot at the end of last season, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see a big year out of him. Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz are arguably the most dynamic duo of wide receivers in the league. In addition, the Giants allowed only 20 sacks last year.

Anytime you have an offensive line as good as this team has, you are going to win a lot of football games.

The offense has all the weapons needed, and if the defensive line plays like we all know they can, then this is a team that no one will want to meet in the postseason. The Giants do play in one of the most competitive divisions in the league, which means their schedule is going to be pretty difficult. Still, there is no dominant team in the NFC East.

New York starts off with the Cowboys on the road and then Denver at home, so we’ll know a lot about this team early on. Past history tells us we shouldn’t count out these Giants. They have won 2 of the last 6 Super Bowls.

Betting on this team at +2,200 is a solid value.
