Christian Ponder has been struggling and in the Bears win he was 11/19 for 91 yards with 0 TD and 1 INT. He only has 2 TD and 4 INT in his last 3 games and it does not help that the Vikes are thin at the WR position with Percy Harvin on IR. The Rams have played good pass defense in the last 3 games and overall their pass defense ranks 12th in the league.

The Vikings will have to ride Adrian Peterson on offense and he has rushed for over 100 yards in 7 straight games including 154 last week. He has 1,600 rushing yards and is averaging 6 yards per carry on the season and will be facing a Rams’ run defense that ranks 13th in the league.[soliloquy id=”82219″]

Sam Bradford has passed for over 200 yards in each of his last 3 games with 3 TD and 2 INT. He has to limit his mistakes and while he does not have a great WR corps some young guys on the outside are playing well. The Minnesota pass defense only ranks 18th in the league and they gave up 320 yards through the air last week in the win over the Bears.

Steven Jackson has been playing well in the winning streak and he will likely get a lot of touches in this game. He has shown he has some gas left in the tank and will be up against a Minnesota run defense that is decent ranking 14th in the league.

In some betting trends for this big NFC match up the Vikings are 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 games, 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games, and they have an Under record of 5-2 in their last 7 games following a S.U. win.

The Rams are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games, 6-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record, and they have an Over record of 5-2 in their last 7 home games.

Jason’s Pick: I think Peterson will have another big game, but it will not be enough, as the Rams will play well at home and win and cover the spread.
