Last year was not a fluke. Miami will not go away and should continue a surprising run. Ginn JR is ready to show up a few DB’s and Ronnie Brown should be a beast again in or out of the Wildcat. The defense will be better with the return of Taylor which should place Miami comfortably in second place in the AFC East.

The mere presence of Bill Parcells have given credibility to a team that clearly overachieved last year. I say that they are no better than a .500 team and will finish 3rd in their division. The QB position (Pennington/Henne) has to be considered in the bottom third in the NFL. Ronnie Brown is a stud, but without a threatening passing attack to keep the D’s honest, Brown will be keyed upon and struggle. Keep in mind the competieion that they will face this year – they will be behind in a lot of games therefore they will be forced to throw – a recipe for disaster. Credibility only goes so far.

I think Miami has a chance to pick up where they left off last season and compete with the Patriots for the AFC East title. If they can add a few more wrinkles to their Wildcat offense and Matt Ryan continues to develop they will have a shot.
