Arizona Cardinals vs. Denver Broncos

On the season the Bucs are 1-3 ATS and they have an Over/Under record of 2-2 and the Saints are also at 1-3 ATS with an Over/Under record of 3-1.

The Saints are 1-0 at home this season and the Bucs are 1-1 on the road.

Last week the Bucs got their first win of the season in their 27-24 upset win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, on the road no less, and the Saints lost on Sunday night to the Dallas Cowboys 38-17.

Not many people would have believed you if you said after 4 games the Bucs and Saints would have the same record. It is not a surprise that the Bucs have 1 win, but it is one that New Orleans only has 1 as well. After a big turnaround on defense last season the Saints are back to being terrible on that side of the ball. So far on the season New Orleans ranks 28th in the league defending the pass and 21st defending the run.

Josh McCown was 0-3 as the Tampa starter before he went out with a thumb injury. Mike Glennon came in and started last week and passed for over 300 yards and led the Bucs on a game-winning drive. Look for him to get the start again in this NFC South game. Rookie WR Mike Evans is back and healthy and he and Vincent Jackson are 2 big WR’s that may give the Saints’ secondary match up problems.

The Bucs only rushed for 63 yards in the win over the Steelers, but Doug Martin is regaining form after missing time due to an injury and he will face a Saints run D that gave up 190 rushing yards last week.

Drew Brees had a big game last week against the Cowboys passing for over 300 yards, but he only had 2 TD and was picked off once. He has the weapons, but he has yet to throw for over 2 TD in any game and in all 3 of the losses he has thrown an INT. TE Jimmy Graham and rookie WR Brandin Cooks have been solid this season and they will face a Tampa Bay pass D that ranks 29th in the league.

The Tampa Bay run defense has also struggled this season and while Khiry Robinson and Mark Ingram have been decent leading the New Orleans rushing attack fumbles have been a concern on the young season.

NFL Week 5 Betting Trends

  • Tampa Bay is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games.
  • Tampa Bay is 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games overall.
  • New Orleans is 2-5 ATS vs. a team with a losing record.
  • New Orleans is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games against Tampa Bay.

Cappers NFL Free 4* Pick

The Saints have had their issues this season, especially on defense, but they are at home and facing a Tampa Bay team that is coming off a win, but also has a bad defense. Brees will light up the Bucs’ secondary and the Saints will easily win this home game and cover the double-digit spread.
