Week 9 NFL Betting Parlay – Chiefs vs. Bills, Ravens vs. Browns

NFL Parlay of the Week

The favorites had the edge over the underdogs for the second-straight week in the NFL with teams giving points covering in eight of the 13 games on Week 8’s schedule. The total also favored higher scoring games for the third week in a row with eight of the games going OVER the closing total line.

When it comes to this Sunday in the NFL I have uncovered a couple of matchups that come together perfectly to form my parlay of the week based on lines provided by 5Dimes.

Game 1 – Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills

Pointspread: Kansas City – 3
Total Line: 40
ATS Matchup Stats | NFL Gambling Insight!

The Chiefs are the only undefeated team in the NFL at 8-0 straight-up behind an effective offense that is averaging 24 points a game complementing the top defense in the league in points allowed (12.2). The only real rap on this team is the level of competition it has faced, but this is still the NFL and 8-0 is still an impressive run.

Buffalo is dealing with some serious issues at quarterback with EJ Manuel still on the shelf and his backup Thad Lewis still listed as questionable with sore ribs. Regardless of whether it is Lewis or someone else behind center, it is doubtful that the Bills will be able to put that many points on the board.

Heading into this game, they have averaged 22 points in their first eight games which is ranked 18th in the NFL. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

While a play on the Chiefs minus the three points looks like a winner to me, I am going with the UNDER 40 points as my top play in this matchup.

Game 2 – Baltimore Ravens vs. Cleveland Browns

Pointspread: Baltimore -2.5
Total Line: 41
ATS Matchup Stats | NFL Gambling Insight!

Baltimore comes off its bye week in desperate need of a win after going 3-4 SU in its first seven games. The defense has done its part by holding teams to 21.1 points a game, but the Ravens’ offense has struggled with consistency all season long.

Joe Flacco has thrown just as many interceptions as touchdowns (8) and the running game is ranked 28th in the NFL with an average of 74 yards a game.

The Browns fell to 3-5 SU on the year with a 23-17 loss to Kansas City this past Sunday as seven-point road underdogs with Jason Campbell at the helm as the team’s starting quarterback.

Cleveland has decided to stick with Campbell as its starter for this game, but do not expect any miracles against another solid defense. These two met in Week 2 with Baltimore coming away with a 14-6 victory as a 5.5-point home favorite.

The Ravens will probably win again and cover, but the top play in this matchup is on the total line.

The total has stayed UNDER in the last six meetings and with both teams struggling to put points on the board it will stay UNDER again this Sunday.
