The Rams look to rebound following their 27-24 road loss in San Diego last week.

Oakland

It had been more than a year since Oakland celebrated a win. The players were so excited, they were celebrating in the Kansas City backfield while the Chiefs were about to snap the ball.

With win number one under their belt, Oakland will look to make it two in a row this week behind QB Derek Carr.

Carr drove Oakland down the field in the 2 minute drill and connected with WR James Jones in the end zone to give the Raiders a 24-20 victory. Oakland will now search for their first road win since their win over Houston November 17th last season.

Taking care of the football has been the thing that has impressed interim head coach Tony Saparano the most. QB David Carr played interception free football for the second straight game.

While the Raiders are 0-5 S.U. on the road this season, backers have been pleased with their 4-1 ATS record.

The offense will have to step as they score just 13.2 points away from Oakland.

St. Louis

The Rams have seemed to play up to their opponents throughout this season. St. Louis nearly had another upset over a top team, but fell just short when QB Shaun Hill was intercepted at the goal line with under a minute to play. The Rams are a tough team to play inside the Edward Jones Dome as they’ve already knocked off Seattle and Denver there.

While QB Derek Carr has taken care of the ball for Oakland, Rams QB Shaun Hill has struggled with turnovers. Hill threw for two interceptions last week against the Chargers. Look for him to target Wideouts Stedman Bailey and Tavon Austin who both had a touchdown last week.

At home this season, the Rams are 2-3 S.U. and 2-3 ATS.

Averaging just 20.8 points in St. Louis has been the main cause of those 3 losses.

NFL Football Handicapping Trends:

  • Raiders are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games.
  • Raiders are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 road games vs. a team with a losing home record.
  • Rams are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games in November.
  • Rams are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS win.
  • Over is 9-2 in Rams last 11 games in November.

While the Raiders got their first win, they haven’t put together back to back wins since October of 2012. Getting WR Rod Streater back this week will help QB Derek Carr, but it will still be tough to go into St. Louis and come out victorious. Expect a low scoring, defensive struggle with one or two big plays deciding the the winner here.

Oakland’s low scoring road offense is the reason for going under here.
