There is nothing more classic than the Giants and the Redskins in a national game. The problem is that neither of these teams is really a threat to the Eagles this season. It will be fun to watch them pound on each other though.
New York
The Giants of last Sunday were looking like the Giants of old as they got their first victory of the season.

Rashad Jennings rushed for 176 yards while Eli Manning did his best Phil Simms impression by playing a mistake free game for the first time in recent memory.
It was such an impressive performance that you wonder if they can repeat it against Washington, who is probably not as good a defensive team as Houston is.
A division game on the road is never an easy victory though.
New York is the road underdog and with good reason on Thursday.
They got hammered on the road in their opener against Detroit and if they want to have a chance on Thursday they need to apply the same formula as they did against Houston: run the ball, control the clock and not make mistakes.
If they can get off to a good start they may be able to take advantage of a deflated Washington team.

Washington
Things might be a little gloomy in Washington right now. Sure they have a great backup QB in Kirk Cousins but he might have had the game of his career and they still came up short against the Eagles.
They are sitting at 1-2 and with RGIII out they already have the ultimate excuse for laying down this season. Last week’s emotional loss might linger and if it does they will find themselves turfed from the conversation pretty quickly in the NFC East.
The Redskins are the classic “the number don’t tell the whole story” team.
They are second in yards per game and 4th in yards allowed but have a losing record. They are in the top 9 in both rushing and passing, meaning they should be nicely balanced but they could not hold off the Eagles by controlling the ball the way they want to with Alfred Morris.
This team has to start learning now to make plays when they matter the most.

The common sense says to go with the Redskins as long as the number stays flat at -3. if it moves in the Giants favour grab it.
The over looks good too. I am not expecting a ton of defense in this one.
