Giants

The Giants enter having won three straight games while the Eagles are an underwhelming 1-1 in their last two.

The New York Giants are on some sort of roll – the team is obviously buying into what new Offensive Coordinator Ben McAdoo has brought to the team.

The West Coast Offense seems to be agreeing with Eli Manning who has eight TDs and more importantly – one interception in his last three games.

The GMen have averaged over 27 points per game during their win streak – the running game and the passing game are working in terrific unison.

Running Back Rashad Jennings is in danger of missing Week 6 – Jennings has been terrific during the win streak. Relax Giants fans – rookie Andre Williams has been good and gets a chance to shine against an Eagles defense that hasn’t been great.

New York will still lean on the running game in this one – Williams better be ready!

If that fails a newfound confidence in the passing game could be a factor for the Giants. Rookie first round draft pick Odell Beckham adds an interesting element and Victor Cruz already has two 100 yard games this season.

The Giants defense will be tested in this one – they have been better of late however – Jason Pierre-Paul looks back to form and the team is allowing just 99 yards per game on the ground this year. Let’s be honest – it’s not going to be defense that wins or loses this game – New York’s offense is going to have to be on point.

Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles may be the most unspectacular 4-1 team in the NFL. They let Jacksonville hang around, they almost let one get away in their 34-28 win against St. Louis last week and they looked listless in their only loss against San Francisco.

Nick Foles has been inconsistent – maybe even he is realizing that he last less than a season of experience as an NFL starter. Foles has eight TDs on the season but has been responsible for four interceptions and three fumbles as well.

And then there’s Shady McCoy. What is going on? The Eagles running game is 23rd in the NFL this season – just 98.6 yards per game after leading the league with 160 yards last year.

It is obvious that the Eagles aren`t firing at the same rate they were last season and they may be fortunate to have the NFC`s best record.
