New York
The Jets have gone from bad to hopeless. Last week they lost their seventh game in a row and only an opening week win over Oakland separates those two teams.

There have been a couple of close calls along the way but most of those losses have been by more than a touchdown and things came unraveled with Geno Smith so they have turned to Michael Vick in relief. With the season essentially over you have to wonder how they are going to play it because Vick is not the signal caller of the future.
Vick’s time has passed but he is still one of the better athletes in the league. He can still spin it and can definitely still make plays with his legs as well. Last week he was the leading rusher and can definitely make plays that help teams win.

I am not all that high on the Chiefs and he could definitely be good enough to keep the Jets close in this one. If the rest of the team doesn’t fall apart.
Kansas City
The Chiefs are lying in wait in the AFC. They are sitting at 4-3 and if the Chargers fall in the division they might be able to rise up and steal a playoff spot. When you think about the Chiefs you don’t think of an elite team but they are 11th in scoring and 3rd in points allowed, not a bad formula for winning…even with Alex Smith. Kansas City doesn’t try to be anything they are not but they can be effective enough to win.
K.C. might have the best running back tandem in Jamaal Charles and Knile Davis.
Davis is actually out gaining Charles this season and he has a bright future but Charles is still the only game breaker the offense really has. He has yet to bust loose but it is encouraging that he has scored three TDs in his last two games. New York is strong against the run so it will be strength against strength in determining this one.
