Betting On Denver Broncos To Win 2014 Super Bowl

2014 Super Bowl Gambling

The 2012-2013 NFL season was filled with lots of great action, and you can expect more of the same in the 2013-2014 season. There are plenty of teams who are capable of finishing the season as Super Bowl champions.

Last year, it was the Baltimore Ravens who ended on top. Over the next few weeks, we’re going to start looking at some teams that could hoist the Lombardi Trophy this coming season!

Peyton Manning came to town and the Denver Broncos had a great regular season last year. Denver finished tied with Atlanta for the best record in football at 13-3. The Broncos were 10-6 ATS. Denver finished second in total defense and fourth in total offense. This was a very complete team.

Having said all of that, it had to be considered a disappointment that Denver lost its first playoff game at home to the Baltimore Ravens. Sure, it was a 38-35 double overtime thriller to the eventual Champions, but when you go 13-3 and have home field advantage throughout the playoffs you are expected to do something in the postseason.

Denver didn’t just sit on the sidelines in the offseason and hope for better results. They got  busy finding new players who could make the team even better. Wes Welker was the team’s biggest pickup of the offseason. Manning should love having a slot receiver like Welker who can do it all in this fast-paced offense. Montee Ball gives the team another very good runner in the backfield. The Broncos are better than anyone else in the NFL at the no-huddle offense, and that should be featured often in the year ahead. The depth on the offensive and defensive line appears to be better than it was a year ago. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

Denver is fortunate in that they play in what is arguably the weakest division in football right now. The Broncos are listed at about -600 at most books to win the AFC West this year. Oakland, Kansas City, and San Diego all have plenty of problems that aren’t likely to be fixed anytime soon. Because of this, the Broncos have an easier schedule and a better chance of once again gaining home field advantage in the playoffs.

The Broncos offense may get more attention, but the defense is amazing with Von Miller leading the way as a pass rusher. Champ Bailey is still one of the best cover corners in the NFL. There is no weak spot in this Broncos defense.

Peyton Manning should be even better in his second year in the Broncos system. He is healthy and he has even more weapons at his disposal this season. If the Broncos are able to get home field advantage again this year, I’d be shocked if they get bounced right away like they did last season.

This team was very good last year, and they should be a notch better this season.
