Chargers vs. Jaguars Gambling NFL Gambling Prediction & Week 7 Preview

San Diego vs. Jacksonville NFL Football Spread/Handicapping

The San Diego Chargers showed very well last week in limiting Andrew Luck and the Colts – it was an impressive win. This week they find themselves playing the league’s weakest team in Jacksonville but they are travelling all the way across the country to do so, a situation which is usually a play against, at least in terms of the number.

A win seems fairly obvious but are they ready to handle this much chalk. Its not like San Diego is an elite team.

San Diego

The Chargers look like they could have the makings of a pretty good team though.

They have an established quarterback who has shown he can get the job done (Phillip Rivers), a running back who might finally be figuring it out at the NFL level (Ryan Mathews) and a number of intriguing young defensive players that can make some plays.

The fact that Denver and Kansas City have burst out to such hot starts makes it interesting for them to manage the rest of their season though as they are essentially already battling for the final playoff spot in the AFC already.

San Diego will have chances to make up ground with two games each against K.C. and Denver but those will be moot if they don’t take care of business on Sunday.

Philip Rivers doesn’t have to be mistake free for San Diego to win this week. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

Jacksonville

I suppose as long as Tom Coughlin is coaching in the NFL the New York Giants and the Jaguars will be linked. This year they are also linked by being the only teams left without a win – one a surprise the other not – can you guess which one.?

The Jags are the worst offensive team in the league but their is some degree of hope now that WR Justin Blackmon has returned to the lineup after suspension.

I am not a big fan of Chad Henne at QB but anything is an improvement over Blaine Gabbert and by comparison the passing game has been better than their running attack.

While they are the worst scoring team on offense Jacksonville is only the second worst scoring team on defense – average losing margin this year is 22 points.

It is amazing how their just isn’t any real talent on this side of the ball, no one player you really even have to think about when building your offensive game plan. They are probably going to go winless all season.

Spread Pick: San Diego -9.5
O/U Pick: Under
Score Prediction: San Diego 31 – Jacksonville 9
