Cappers NFL Picks: Week 15 Pro Football Power Rankings

Where Each Team Stands Heading Into Week 15

Week 14 of the NFL is finally over and what a week it was. The top dogs continue to separate themselves from the pack while some previously top teams rediscovered their winning ways and received a bump in the Rankings. Right now it looks like either the Packers or Seahawks will be in the Super Bowl – doesn’t it?

There are definitely some teams with something to say about that – who are they and where do they lay in the Week 15 edition of the Power Rankings? Let`s break it down.

1. Packers (10-3) Last Week: 1

The Packers have looked unstoppable offensively – Aaron Rodgers is in total control! Defense could be an issue for this team going forward but as long as they hold teams under 35 points they should continue to roll!

2. Patriots (10-3) Last Week: 2

The Pats continue to be absolutely remarkable after a loss – they haven’t lost two straight since 2012! This week it was the defense that was terrific in the win. Mr. Brady was OK too passing for over 300 yards. That makes 12 straight seasons of 10+ wins and they have Miami and the Jets up in the next two weeks.

3. Seahawks (9-4) Last Week: 5

The Seahawks defense has been absolutely insane – be afraid NFL – be very afraid! They gave up just 139 yards to the prolific Eagles offense and have surrendered – get this – 507 total yards and 20 points in their last three games combined! Russell Wilson threw for two scores and rushed for another in Week 14 – he seems in total control as well. The Hawks are peaking at the right time indeed!

4. Broncos (10-3) Last Week: 3

The Broncos beat Buffalo at home Sunday but slip because their win wasn`t all that inspiring. Peyton Manning failed to throw for a TD while throwing two picks. Still, with CJ Anderson running the way he is the Broncos are a dangerous team!

5. Colts (9-4) Last Week: 6

The Colts ran into a hot defense on Sunday but still posted the win thanks largely to their own hot defense. Sunday proved that when Andrew Luck and TY Hilton are on the same page this team is awfully tough to stop! Indy is a shaky top 5 but deserve a bump because of the character they showed Sunday.

6. Eagles (10-3) Last Week: 4

The Eagles still control their own fate in the NFC East – no shame in getting shut down by a terrific Seattle defense! Philadelphia`s defense was actually OK in the loss – at least some positive came from Sunday`s game. Dallas is on tap – we will know a whole lot more about this team at this time next week!

7. Lions (9-4) Last Week: 7

The Lions looked good in beating the Buccaneers on Sunday – Matt Stafford threw for over 300 yards and Megatron was… Megatron. The defense caused three turnovers as well. Detroit isn`t going away – they are well balanced and a bit of a nightmare to play against each and every week.

8. Cardinals (10-3) Last Week: 8

The Cardinals got back on the winning track Sunday defeating a good Chiefs team. 10 wins for this banged up team is insane! They still have some work to do in order to return to the “elite team conversation“ but Sunday`s turnover-less win was a good start.

9. Cowboys (9-4) Last Week: 9

The Cowboys bounced back from an ugly Thanksgiving loss and looked good against Chicago. One glaring weakness continues to rare its ugly head though – the defense hasn`t been great and now they face a prolific Eagles offense in Philadelphia. The good news is that the Boys look healthy on offense and DeMarco Murray continues to be dominant.

10. Ravens (8-5) Last Week:12

The Ravens went into Miami and beat a good Dolphins team on Sunday using stifling defense despite missing Haloti Ngata (suspension). They held the Fins to 249 yards and remain in the playoff hunt with the huge win.

11. Steelers (8-5) Last Week: 15

The Steelers marched into Cincinnati and did what they had to do – beat the team they have to catch. Le`Veon Bell is the most dominant player in the game right now and Antonio Brown and Martavis Bryant look like the most dangerous pass catching duo in the game. Pittsburgh is dangerous on both sides of the ball – almost worthy of a top 10 spot.

12. Chargers (8-5) Last Week: 11

The Chargers were run over by the Pats at home on Sunday – no shame in that. The defense looked great at times but Philip Rivers struggled against Bill Belichick`s schemes. They are still in good position for a Wild-Card spot which keeps them in the dirty dozen this week – barely!
