Where Each Team Stands Heading Into Week 14

Week 13 of the NFL is finally over – three intriguing Thanksgiving Day games were a precursor to a typically crazy slate of Sunday games.

All of the Week 13 games gave some clarity about who we should be talking about as we head into the stretch drive – the Seahawks look like they are back to elite form and the Eagles made quite a statement while the Cardinals and Cowboys have come crashing back to earth.

So what does all the mayhem that was Week 13 amount to? Let’s break it down in the Week 14 edition of the NFL Power Rankings.

1. Packers (9-3) Last Week: 2

The Packers leapfrog the Patriots this week after they beat New England at Lambeau Sunday. The uber-hyped game certainly didn’t disappoint – Aaron Rodgers was masterful and Jordy Nelson was his typical game-changing self. The Pack have won four straight games, are 6-0 at home and look like the best team in the NFC by far.

2. Patriots (9-3) Last Week: 1

The Pats seven game win streak came to an end Sunday. They still sit atop the AFC standings and can’t hang their heads too low after a five point loss at Lambeau. Everything seems right for the Pats right now – the defense was good against Aaron Rodgers, the running game had its moments and Tom Brady was… Tom Brady.

3. Broncos (9-3) Last Week: 3

The Broncos posted an impressive win at Arrowhead on Sunday night! Even more impressive is the play of CJ Anderson who followed up a 167 yard rushing effort with a 168 yards rushing game against KC. Denver is as balanced as they have been in years – scary going forward!

4. Eagles (9-3) Last Week: 8

The Eagles put up 44 points on Sunday and continue to roll – on Thanksgiving they absolutely dismantled the Cowboys in Arlington. Shady McCoy continues to get better as the season rolls along, Mark Sanchez has been terrific and the defense is a terror right now.

5. Seahawks (8-4) Last Week: 7

The Seahawks have made huge statements two weeks in a row – they look like a mighty frightening team in the NFC now! They have beaten the Cards and the 49ers in successive weeks allowing a combined 6 points in the wins – incredible. If there is one weakness it is their red zone offense – field goals aren’t going to cut it in the playoffs – no way!

6. Colts (8-4) Last Week: 6

The Colts put a whoopin’ on the Redskins Sunday but don’t climb because they beat the Skins! Andrew Luck is insane – he makes every receiver on his team look like a Pro-Bowler!

7. Lions (8-4) Last Week: 10

The Lions had dropped two straight games before their Thanksgiving win against Chicago. The big reason? Matt Stafford finally rediscovered Megatron. If and that’s a big IF Reggie Bush ever comes back the Lions offense should return to elite status while the defense will continue to do its part.

8. Cardinals (9-3) Last Week: 4

It doesn’t look good for the Cinderella Cards right now. They are scuffling and Drew Stanton looks simply ordinary. Two straight losses and a brutal schedule going forward is hardly confidence inspiring. An injury to Andre Ellington doesn’t help either!

9. Cowboys (8-4) Last Week: 5

The Cowboys got their lunch handed to them on Thanksgiving and are in the midst of a free-fall. They haven’t looked good the last two weeks especially – letting the Giants hang around and getting thrashed by the Eagles. The defense is brutal and Tony Romo has reverted back to his unflattering ways. Be afraid Cowboys fans – be very afraid!

10. Bengals (8-3-1) Last Week: 11

The Bengals almost let one slip away but pulled out the victory in the end to extend their lead atop the AFC North. Cinci has been beating the bad teams and having a hard time with the tough ones. Their schedule is tough down the stretch but they do hold their fate in their own hands.

11. Chargers (8-4) Last Week: 14

The Chargers became the first Western team to win in Baltimore in the last 11 games with an incredible comeback, last-minute win. They currently own a Wild Card spot and have Philip Rivers playing some good ball right now. We’ll know a lot more about this team next week – New England comes to town in Week 14.

12. Ravens (7-5) Last Week: 9

The Ravens let one slip away against the pesky Chargers Sunday.

The secondary is an issue – they let Philip Rivers do what he wanted on Sunday. Baltimore is still in the playoff hunt but they will need some help along the way!

13. Chiefs (7-5) Last Week: 12
14. 49ers (7-5) Last Week: 13
15. Steelers (7-5) Last Week: 15
16. Browns (7-5) Last Week: 16
17. Dolphins (7-5) Last Week: 17
18. Bills (7-5) Last Week: 18
19. Texans (6-6) Last Week: 19
20. Saints (5-7) Last Week: 22
21. Rams (5-7) Last Week: 20
22. Falcons (5-7) Last Week: 23
23. Vikings (5-7) Last Week: 26
24. Bears (5-7) Last Week: 21
25. Giants (3-9) Last Week: 24
26. Panthers (3-8-1) Last Week: 25
27. Redskins (3-9) Last Week: 27
28. Buccaneers (2-10) Last Week: 28
29. Jets (2-10) Last Week: 29
30. Jaguars (2-10) Last Week: 32
31. Raiders (1-11) Last Week: 30
