2015 Rams Preview & NFL Football Future Lines & Pick

2015 St. Louis Rams Season Predictions

The St. Louis Rams will enter the 2015-2016 NFL season with their annual sense of optimism, but seemingly few other reasons to think that they can challenge the top dogs in the NFC this year. No longer will the Rams have to sit on pins and needles with every preseason and regular-season snap praying that Sam Bradford doesn’t get hurt – he’s Philadelphia’s problem now.

St. Louis will go with Nick Foles at QB to hopefully kick start an offense that has some tools but has been unable find a way to utilize any of their weapons – at all! The Rams defense will be strong again – it will be up to the offense to get anything going – anything!

Are the Rams on the cusp of a winning season or are they simply a .500 team… again? Let’s take a look.

2015 St. Louis Rams Preview

Let’s start with the offense. The addition of Nick Foles is an upgrade at QB for the Rams for sure especially considering that Sam Bradford is one tackle away from another season ending injury. Foles missed eight games last year as well, however – a broken collarbone sidelined him after a decent start last year. Foles is still a bit of a mystery – it could go really good or really bad for him in this new offense.

One big problem for the new gunslinger is serious lack of weapons at his disposal. Foles will be throwing to Brian Quick, Kenny Britt, Stedman Bailey and Jared Cook to throw to – nothing special!

The good news for Foles is that the Rams are a more balanced offense under Coach Jeff Fisher. St. Louis will run the ball a lot – Georgia running back Todd Gurley, considered the most impressive collegiate rusher since Adrian Peterson, could be a difference maker – assuming he’s fully recovered from last year’s ACL injury. Tre Mason is there just in case – he was decent last year.

If a sketchy offensive line can open a few holes the Rams will top out at just an OK offense – nothing special at all despite some seemingly undeserved hype.

It will be St. Louis’s defense that will be called upon more often than not to win games. They have good linebackers and an up-and-coming secondary and have proven over the years to be one of the most formidable units in the game.

2014 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Aaron Donald anchors a defense that returns names like Robert Quinn and Chris Long. The Rams can pressure the quarterback for sure!

So where does that leave us with the Rams this season?

Rams 2015 Prediction:

8-8 – Over the 7.5 wins that Vegas has set!

The St. Louis Rams are who they are – an average team with a good defense and an offense with far too many holes. Nick Foles was a nice addition to this team but he is nothing that is going to take this team over the top. St. Louis seems content in their mediocrity right now – maybe a move to LA will cure all of that? But that’s another topic altogether!
