2015 Bengals Preview & NFL Football Future Lines & Pick

2015 Cincinnati Bengals Season Predictions

As the last AFC Wild Card team in 2014, the Cincinnati Bengals were a quick one and done in the post season. The Colts and Andrew Luck knocked off the Bengals as Cincinnati couldn’t do anything offensively.

The offense was the major storyline for the Bengals last year. Andy Dalton was one of the best at times, but at other times, he couldn’t move the ball.

Can Andy Dalton eliminate all the inconsistencies and get the Bengals to the top of AFC North?

The Bengals enter the 2015 season with probably the most depth in the league. The thing that might separate them from not only the rest of the AFC North, but also the rest of the NFL, is that they have the depth at prime positions too.

The quarterback situation is no secret. In 2014, Andy Dalton threw for 3398 yards and 19 touchdowns. He had games like the one against Carolina that saw him throw for 323 yards and 2 touchdowns.

But then there were other games, like the Thursday Night home game against the Browns. Dalton finished with 86 yards passing and 3 interceptions as the Bengals were embarrassed on National TV. It seemed like it was all or nothing for Dalton in 2014.

If he can find a median to that and not allow the nothing games to happen, the Bengals have a legit chance at making a deep post season run.

The running back position is easily the strongest in the division. Cincinnati has Jeremy Hill and Gio Bernard in the back field and are the most dangerous duo. Hill ran for 1124 yards and 9 touchdowns, while Bernard contributed 680 and 5 touchdowns.

Out wide, AJ Green has put himself in the top tier of receivers in the NFL. The problem Green has incurred has been staying healthy. The Bengals offense is completely different without him in the lineup. Green makes Dalton a better QB as he gives him a dangerous downfield threat to throw to. Mohamed Sanu has solidified himself as a #2 within the Bengals system as he had a solid 2014.

Defensively, the Bengals Geno Atkins and Carlos Dunlap solidify a tough defensive core. However, they finished dead last in sacks per game in 2014. Getting to the QB and forcing the opposition into some bad passes will go a long way in 2015.

2015 Cincinnati Bengals Season Prediction:

The Bengals have made the postseason in 5 of their last 6 seasons. While most teams would take that stat, the Bengals are not happy with it. Within those 5 seasons, the Bengals haven’t won a single playoff game.

The Bengals are said to be the most complete team from the offense all the way through special teams. While the division is only getting better, the Bengals have done enough to bring in top tier talent.

Obviously Andy Dalton being more consistent is a must, but he has still shown the ability to win games and come up clutch.

Ten or 11 wins in 2015 for Cincinnati with at least a Wild Card berth, if not a division title for sure. However, it won’t be a success unless they advance past the first round.
